You think Saban respects Miles?

Yes, 100%. I think he respects the way Miles guys play and the way Miles handles himself. I also think he respects Miles as a football man.

As you guys know, there is nothing Saban respects more than guys playing phyiscal and tough, and Miles teams ALWAYS play that way against Alabama. Always.

Great recruiter but meh gameday coach?

Now in terms of that stuff I don't know.

bullshite. The real reason you love him as fricking 5-0. They play good enough to be a quality win for you guys averaging 10 wins a season but are no real threat to you. Recruit well enough to finish right below you have your recruits have their hat on on the table but always be second choice. Will not challenge you or your bitches the SEC or NCAA on shite, will go to all the shite bowls we are assigned, put up with all the bullshite calls and schedules, and be your centurion in all things. What's not to love, he is a decent good person. Enjoy it while you can.

I've always had respect for the guy. I was happy for him with the win 2 years ago after his mother passed. What a man to be out there for his team while going through that loss.

you have no idea what you're talking about. of course that's no requirement in speaking one's opinions even if they are ignorant of which they speak. hell, be a politician. facts don't matter.

Coach Miles is a great guy, a great family man and anybody would be pleased to have a son play for him. No doubt about any of that. He's a nice, likeable guy and people respond to that with loyalty.

Coach Miles is great for LSU and he's just about the best fit one could imagine for LSU football.

You're just an a-hole, an unhappy a-hole, the worst kind of a-hole. This post embodies everything you are about.

I think he respects Miles and LSU so much that he has spent a ton of energy figuring out how to matchup against them, what their tendencies are, etc. Much more so than other programs.

This. It's no coincidence that both programs have their bye week the week leading up to this game. All that respect ain't helping our record any though...

He seems like a genuine guy who enjoys the competition. Surprised he didn't go find another job with the way LSU treated him this offseason. Speaks to his character.

That 2010 game was edge-of-your seat tense. For a day game, it was pretty damned loud.
Most Bama-LSU clashes are like this (except 2001,2002,2003,2013,and 2015. (and that one bowl game that I seem to have forgotten :)

Honestly, I don't think I ever re-watched it, and I saw a link to it on YouTube today so I just kind of scanned it. I had completely forgotten pretty much the entire first 3 quarters. The 4th quarter was wild. LSU made tons of plays.

The reason I love Les

No offense and not trolling or anything, but dude you are so wrong.
It's a case of the loudest minority making it seem like it's everyone.
It was not the fan base or SOME of the fans' complaining about Les that got him in (ostensibly) jeopardy for his job. That was a few strong-armed BOS members who forced Alleva into that awkward 3 week period where no one was sure what would happen.

Contrary to popular belief, no offer was ever made and no negotiations ever made to Fisher.

50 or 60 (at various times) negative or complaining posters on a random internet message board do NOT constitute a 1,000,000+ alumni and fan base. The vast majority of fans were happy that Les kept his job.
I would say at LEAST 75% of LSU fans like Les, have always liked him, and wanted him to stay. About 10% did not care one way or the other, and 15% wanted him out.

is that why your players carried him off the field and every national media outlet reported it? because it was just a few negatigers online?

lol, gimme a break.

Most of us Love Les as a person, we just hate Bama more. Charlie Mac was a good guy too but fired for not competing with his drinking buddy the Bear. At this point I would rather that complete POS jackass Bobby Petrino, 1000 bagman and every trick in the book and beating you guys, and I assure you I am not speaking for a meager 15% of LSU fans. If you were 0-5 against Auburn would it be any different with any Bams fans? That was not that long ago to remember was it? Do we need to post the comments?

You guys seriously underestimate how much most LSU fans, and the rest the world have grown to hate you like the plague. You are the evil empire headed by Satan himself to most college fans.

I (like a majority of real LSU fans) don't want you liking, respecting, loving our Coach. I want you to hate and fear him.

Really most decent coach and guy ever. I so want him to succeed, but then really when does good triumph over evil.
