This is just one of 100 instances of him saying things like this. Guy loves football, respects his opponents, loves his guys.

quote:

"I gotta tell ya, that Alabama football team and Nick Saban has done a hell of a job preparing that team. We are honored to play as well as we did. What a quality quality game. This is the best of college football. Don't let anybody kid you. You look right around right here, it is about Tiger Stadium and a quality opponent playing a great game."

I love Les's perspective. He seems to understand how blessed he is and appreciate the moment more so than anyone else.

I mean yea, I like beating LSU, but this is independent of all that. I liked him a lot in 2005-2007 too.

You know if LSU is undefeated headed into that game this year they'll probably be the favorite

he really is such a great guy. would love to see him land somewhere where his fans appreciate him eventually. hate to see the way they treat him down there.

Maybe so. What does that have to do with this exactly?

Nobody will be favored against Alabama unless Bama drops a couple games before then.

The last time Bama was an underdog at kickoff was the 2009 SEC Championship game.

Lets say he whoops Bama's arse 5 times in a row.

How much do you like him then?

Wouldn't change anything, right?

He whooped our arse 3 times in a row from 2005 - 2007........Still liked him a lot.

Saban whooped our arse in 2003 and 2004, still thought he was incredible.

I don't hate coaches based on whether they beat us or not. I never even really hated Tuberville, and he was a smug a-hole about beating us.

Also my favorite Les quote of all time.

Depends on Bama's record. When was the last time LSU was favored over Bama?

They'll be between a (1-3) point dog. Just don't think Bama is going to go into TS invisible this year. But like I said, depends who comes in undefeated.

I'm an LSU fan and I would say "no". Until LSU can beat Alabama again, Alabama should be favored.
