explain again the recruiting advantage of being in Idaho while the rest of the schools recruiting the same kid are within easy driving distance
Boise is considered special because they are a little guy and have run up excellent records as a midmajor
if they joined a major conference they stand the chance of losing both distinctions... geographically the only BCS conference that would make sense for them is the PAC 10/12 - but the PAC just doesn't have any interest IMO
As hard as it might be for a Boise fan to understand - being a highly touted midmajor with an outside shot at a BCS bowl is probably as good as it can feasibly get for Boise.
You lack the location of TCU (or FSU a few decades before) and will have a hard time converting from interesting story to powerhouse program... because TCU and FSU are in outstanding locations (at schools with real money btw) and Boise might as well be in Ketchikan Alaska with a much more limited set of finances (than TCU or FSU)

How does a BSU fan celebrate a BCS MNC?
They put down the XBox or PS controller.

I'm always surprised when the only thing people can hold onto is that they're in the SEC. The guy who was fueling the fire the other day in the Georgia vs. Boise St. argument was a Kentucky fan. Seriously? You're going to argue Boise st. vs. Kentucky? Yeah, maybe if we're playing basketball. But Boise St. > Kentucky in football. No doubt about it. Maybe your conference can beat the Mountain West/WAC, but Kentucky can't. Also, remember Wyoming @ Tennessee - 2008? The two worst teams in their conferences and Wyoming won?
GTFO
We've at least beaten Georgia (a couple times), Arkansas (a couple times), South Carolina, and LSU since 2006. Most if not all of those teams were Top 25 teams when we beat them as well. Hell LSU was #1. Has your program ever even beaten a #1 team in football?
And of course that's not including Florida State and Clemson (twice) in that same span in bowl games (both ranked). You've beaten maybe 5-6 ranked teams since 2006 correct? We play that every SEASON.
And since you want to go full vag and pull the "common opponents" shite talking, you'll lose there too...
We've beaten Louisville 4 times in a row at this point and own the series with them. You're 1-1 against those guys.
We beat East Carolina which you couldn't do.
See what I did there.
We also put close to 70,000 in our football stadium during the season, which puts us Top 25 in attendance in football year in and year out. Yes, a basketball school outdraws your overrated team with their shitty stadium you have yet to expand despite supposedly being the best thing since sliced bread to college football.
So yeah, I have a superiority complex. Because I know when it boils down to it if your team didn't play in a bullshite conference without the wear and tear of a SEC schedule that expects you to be at your best EVERY week you'd be worse off then mine.
So go get some fans, get some nuts, and get rid of that god awful gimmicky turf then call me.

No shite. Probably because the SEC is the premier conference in the country for both football and baseball. And just so you know we're working on basketball.

Don't forget they were ranked #7 when we beat them in 07, too. I don't remember if they were ranked in 08.

I try to not acknowledge any of their rankings.

You should check out their Scout board and all the SEC talk. They think they're getting an invite, although most wouldn't want it anyways. They were saying they would compete for the division within a few years if they were to take it. This totally makes sense since they haven't beaten us in 5 years...

Has anyone posted the obvious to the OP?

Yeah I've seen it. Unfortunately because I live here I have to hear it from time to time too. It'll get worse when TCU joins their conference and they actually have to beat someone to get to a BCS Bowl. The Horned Frogs even owned their asses in C-USA.

Yea I just moved back to Louisville, too.

However, if Boise State was in the SEC, they would have better recruiting because they would have more exposure (the Mountain West will only make Boise's exposure worse.
I don't disagree with this. Recruitment would go through the roof because of the SEC's popularity.

dude in order to have a superiority complex one has the wishes to be superior. The SEC has dominated the college football landscape the last 50 years.
