Okay, how did we just go from discussing Alabama vs Vandy to Texas and Arch Manning? If you want to discuss that start a thread. But the topic is Alabama Vandy.
He’s an LSU fan derailing the conversation because he’s bored.

Alabama wins comfortably by 2+ TDs.

I suspect a lot of bettors feel that way.

The line is Alabama -10.5 O/U 55.5

I think it will climb to -13 before kickoff.

Take Bama and -10.5 all day long.

Bama will roll their arse.

“OK. But the facts still remain the same.
BAMA gave up 14 points off turnovers. They lost by 5.

One was a pick 6. Pick 6. Lost by 5.

So, it sounds like you just didn't watch the game.”

Turnovers are part of the game. You can’t eliminate them. State gave up two TD’s on two turnovers Saturday against Tennessee. And we lost by 7 in OT. At the end of the game, Tennessee was a bit better.

Last year Vandy was the better team,
Vandy had more yards, more First Downs, ran 75 plays to 45 plays, Time of Possession 42 minutes to 18 minutes, committed 0 turnovers to 2 turnovers.
Simply put they not only won the game, they won it convincingly and the five point margin is deceiving because Bama never had an opportunity to take the lead at any point in the game after the eight minute mark in the first quarter.

Nobody is suggesting you can. The idea is that since BAMA scored 5 TDs and punted twice if they hadn't turned the ball over, the odds of them scoring a TD on one if not both of those drives is high which changes the game. Get it?

You can say this all you want. Vandy did win the game. Nobody is disputing that. If you think a 5 point game is convincing, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. It isn't true though. When Milroe fumbled, BAMA had just held Vandy to a FG. With some momentum and 10 minutes to go, BAMA had the ball near midfield down only 5 when Milroe fumbled. BAMA clearly had the chance to take the lead in the 4th qtr. So again, your claim that BAMA had no chance to take the lead after the first qtr is revisionist history.

With all those numbers, you'd think that the margin of victory would be more than 5, but it wasn't. And you know why? Because BAMA was able to overcome many of their mistakes. But Vandy was the better team that day.
