It won't.. posters from other schools would rather harp on the "butthurtedness" overtones from the other article, even though this article completely proves that the first was just the first in a 2-part series addressing both sides of a nonsensical argument

It is really amazing me how posters are choosing to go to the other thread

Post Reply Subject Message Markup You are replying to the following post: Message Posted by brewhan davey Reading the original article made me cringe as an LSU fan. It's the exact mindset that I have come to despise among LSU fans.. it's completely Bamasessed and it's exactly what Bama fans want us to think like. That being said, now that this next article has come out, I (and all other readers) now realize that the author was only making the argument for both sides to this "issue" (for which I don't even see a reason for addressing in the first place), and not a typical "ranter" LSU fan. Just felt like I'd post this article to somewhat spell that out. (I know that 90% of the posters will be unchanged in their beliefs after reading the first article, though).

I was composing an email to the author on 5 reasons why he should be fired till I was pointed to this thread.

This thread is not enough fun, Cas. There is some reasoning that makes lsu appear less butthurt.

I firmly believe that all the bama/arky/aTm fans have read this thread and chose not to post

It's pretty clear how much LSUsession is happeing on this board.

I was actually drafting an editorial response as well, and then I saw this article on the Advocate's website when I was looking at how to contact Scott Rabalais

Here's how the arguements tend to go:

LSU fan: "We have to play the most successful SEC team every year and have missed out on SEC titles as a direct result while Bama gets the east's cupcakes and rakes in titles as a direct result!!! The SEC office is in Alabama so they must be cheating!!!"

Bama fan: "LMAO LSU is so butthurt and cry like babies all the time!!! 21-0 corndogs!! Rawl Tahd!!"

This is how it should go:

LSU fan: "Man, I really think we should look into revising the current schedule system. It isn't really fair, and does not create an equal chance for an SEC title. Surely something more consistent and balanced could be found."

Bama fan: "I agree that the two teams with the weakest SEC schedule making it to Atlanta this year was kinda messed up, and a lot of teams did kinda get the shaft from the scheduling process. We really enjoy playing UT every year though, and I would hope that we can find a way to preserve this rivalry yet implement fairness at the same time."

hi.

I like the second article a lot better. I'm not a fan of the SEC scheduling myself as I think it's pretty sad that Bama gets Kentucky AND Tennessee...

If LSU left to BEVO 12, I am sure they would still be pretty pissed off though as it's all about Bevo, all the time.

Maybe in a perfect world, my friend. We are dealing with two fan bases with an average IQ in the 2-digit realm.

I just always see LSU fans crying about playing UF every year. UF never cries about playing LSU

Why don't you take the Bama schools and give us Vanderbilt and Tennessee, and find out?

Don't forget to get four steps in-bounds to over turn a bad call.

jk. I actually agree wih you.
The teams change so much year to year though, so I'm not sure how you could accomplish this.

Read through the earlier posts again. And the reason why fans go to the other thread is a bias in favor of, in Jon Stewart's words, "conflict, sensationalism, and laziness." I agree with Brewhan and the earlier poster about how reasonable fans might have a dialogue, but this isn't going to draw the guys who are here to flame and troll. And because if I had any more children, I might name one "Brewhan."
