He was accurate and Taylor and rice were racking up YAC on those slants. It's well noted that their offense was revolutionary and defenders were trying to adjust to their West Coast offense. He did not do much that any other Qb couldn't, but they were really a well-oiled machine with him. He was terrible on the Chiefs.

Peyton was great. Now he is awful. He was on the winning team but had nothing to do with them winning.

Yeah he was the QB who couldn't move the damn ball when the Broncos had a chance to put the game away. If not for Cam's fumbling and that long punt return, the Broncos wouldn't have done shite. There third down stats were like 1-12. Both QBs were worse than Dilfer

Would he be great without the HGH?? Would he heal as fast, be able to play as long??

What has bill won without Tom? Lol you make it sound like belichick was great before he drafted Brady

Also id say Peyton was drafted into a pretty good situation too with bill polian as his gm for most of his career

They give Super Bowl MVP awards to game managers? I didn't know game managers could throw 3500+ yards and have a 60% completion percentage while throwing for almost 30 TDs.

Before the Super Bowl last night Peyton had a slightly higher Postseason QBR than Tom Brady.

To act like Tom Brady has lit the postseason on fire throughout his career is incorrect.

He had VERY average statistics his first couple Super Bowls and won very similarly to how Peyton just won this one.

Peyton winning this Super Bowl last night is the exact proof that using Super Bowl victories to judge a QB is retarded. That is a TEAM metric not an individual metric.

When you get into individual metrics Peyton is by far the greatest of all time.

Most Wins
TD's
Yards
MVPs
and On
and On
and ON

Ehh I seem to remember Brady having game winning drives in quite a few of his Super Bowls

The games were a hell of a lot better/more entertaining too

Hell even the ones he lost against Eli he wasn't the reason they lost

Best ever is still Joe Montana. He and Bradshaw both won 4 without a loss.

Brady > Manning and it's only close because he got a second ring last night, not that he had much to do with it

Tennessee fans rushing in to proclaim Peyton the GOAT is hilarious.

Anyone who tries to say Brady isn't the GOAT is peanut butter & jealous.

Brady shredded the Seahawks Defense in the fourth quarter to win the super bowl, one year after that same defense put their nuts on Peyton's giant forehead.

As far as Montana and Bradshaw go, I'm sorry old-timers, but you can not compare the game of old to the current NFL, it is twice as hard to throw the football with the caliber of athletes out their week in and week out.

Montana played with HOF'ers, Bradshaw played with HOF'ers, Peyton played with HOF'ers and an all-time great defense, Brady played with a constantly changing cast of lesser known players outside of Randy Moss for 2-3 seasons. Brady made stars out of Julian Edelman and Wes Welker. he's won in the regular season and playoffs, with his playoff losses almost always coming to the super bowl champions (Ravens, Broncos, Giants)

GTFO with any bullshite discussion about Peyton being better

Peyton is arguably the greatest regular season QB of all time. But you really can't dispute that he does not hold up well under the pressure of the playoffs. He was TERRIBLE last night. Von Miller and Demarcus Ware won that Super Bowl. And honestly, had CJ Anderson not run the ball well and forced Peyton to throw more, the Panthers probably would have won. I hate Tom Brady, but he gets the nod over Peyton because he plays better in bigger moments. Not to mention, the weapons Peyton has had in his career are much better than what Brady had. Also, Brady's ego is big enough that he'll probably play until he is 45 just to break all of Peyton's passing records.

Before you typed this up, did you ever see me say Peyton was better than Brady? I never claimed that. It's completely subjective.

He really tore it up tonight with that 9.9 QBR....

He also has the 2 worst QBR's of any QB to ever win the super bowl. Not to mention in 4 Super Bowls he's thrown for 3 TD's and 5 picks.

Peyton might be the greatest regular season QB ever, maybe, but he was consistently dogshit in the postseason.

He played better that the other QB last night. Is 3-1 vs Brady in division championship games, has two SB rings and 5 MVPs that tell you to suck his dick.

And how many Super Bowls has Indy been to since he left? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Peyton carried shitty defenses his whole career. It's about time they return the favor.

My thought exactly. He played well enough to win a title at Tennessee and another title at Indy, but his defenses let him down. So it's simply karma that the defense won one for him. About him never winning a title at UT, we were SEC champs in 1997, so I would count that as winning sumpthin.
