Yes because the winningest coach in your program's history was holding you back...

HDN also got Arkansas a 10 win season and won the West a couple times but yet ya'll canned him because ya'll knew you could do better, and you have.

The situation with Stansbury is very similar to HDN. It would be different if Stans had the same success with inferior talent over the years, but State consistently has top 3 talent in the SEC, yet underperforms with it every year. That's coaching.

Think back to 06 and 07 football for Arkansas.. by looking at the records you would think HDN did a pretty good job for Arkansas, but if you look at the talent, they won in spite of him, not because of him. Same with Stansbury

Houston Nutt isn't the winningest coach in our programs history, in fact he resides outside of the top 5 head coaches in our history at this point...

I didn't say he was. My point is he had a lot of success and was at Arkansas a long time. The situations were similar, it's just a different sport. Stans was the winningest coach because he was here so long. He never did anything significant post season wise, the coach before him in his shorter time here took us to a sweet 16 and a final 4 the next year.

It's no secret I didnt want him as our coach in the first place. I didn't like the hire when it happened.

Why can't Larry Eustachy get some love and at least make the candidate list? He's a pretty good coach, has had success, doesn't seem to mind living in the state, and likes to party. He has time to meet with your AD right now. The stars are aligned.

He doesn't fit the mold of the type of HC our AD is looking for.

Per Mattew Stevens, we'll use Parker Executive Search to find a coach...

They're also currently working for Illinois.
Here's a list of coaches recently hired by schools that used PES:

Herb Sendek - Arizona State
Tom Crean - Indiana
Trent Johnson - LSU
Mark Gottfired - NC State
Craig Robinson - Oregon State
Mike Anderson - Arkansas
Mark Fox - Georgia
Fran McCaffery - Iowa
Jim Larranaga - Miami
Cuonzo Martin - Tennessee
