1. yes, tons of in-state talent, and everyone in the universe recruits it.
2. Illinois has only won the Big Ten championship once in a generation. I dont get where you peg it as a solid program.
They were a doormat to Indiana and Ohio State and Michigan, and now they are a doormat to Wisc, Ohio State and Mich State.
The best Chicago players ignore it. He would have his work cut out for him.

He is from my hometown, Brookhaven.
He's coaching down on the coast now at Ocean Springs.
