For those who do not know, Birmingham sports radio had a terrific morning show called the "Roundtable" with Jim Dunaway, Ryan Brown, and Lance Taylor.
They left the FM station to venture out on their own with podcasts, live shows on Youtube, etc.
Just wondering if any one has been listening and has an opinion on the new show.
I loaded it up, which isn't the easiest to do when you like to flip to other channels during their incessant amount of ads, and it seemed like the original show for the few minutes I listened.

Good content but the ads seems to be running more than the show. It seems to be 70/30 ads...

They thought they were bigger than jox. Maybe they are, only time will tell. I applaud them for trying. I like the ease of getting in the car and having 94.5 on, not having to worry about my phone so I haven’t tried their new stuff yet.

I listen exclusively on Spotify and skip the ads. It's the same old show, which is great.

I agree with this. I'm listening to it mainly on youtube while I work from home on youtube live but I don't really mess with my phone when I get in my car so that stays on 94.5. Even if 94.5 is bad right now

I have not followed them. I feel like they think they are bigger than they are

I like the show a lot and have tried to keep up with them via podcast apps or YouTube. Kudos to them for trying to forge their own path, but the problems for them I think are going to be that 1) most people who liked their JOX show probably were not going to go to the effort to find them on an independent platform, and 2) problem #1 is made worse by the fact that JOX immediately replaced them with a really solid offering in that timeslot.

The new podcast is nothing but them pushing advertisements. I guess they are trying to milk as much money out of it as they can before that shite folds in a year .

This is my issue.
One, I have an older car that really can't connect. My wife's car can connect via Bluetooth, but it's a PITA to switch back and forth to FM or XM.
The ads are way too many, which forces you to want to switch around.
Their ad to content ratio makes CBS college football broadcasts seem like CBS Masters coverage which has almost no ads per hour

I find the live show to be pretty much just like the Roundtable. It's not like Jox doesn't mix in a ton of advertisements. Heck, on Jox the telephone has a sponsor.

I just use their app on my phone and can scroll and skip the long ads. It also identifies some of their bigger interviews, so I don’t have to accidentally tune in for Clay Travis.

So does theirs. as well as the beer they drink while on air, the nut dust can sitting on the desk, the hats they wear, the flashing billboard behind them, hell they even have Rockstar the producing jumping in with advertising spots during the live show.

I imagine the video is horrible.
Worse than Tiger Stadium's amount of ads.
Everything they do has some type of sponsor.
