When Mizzou visits Oxford next year, After the Rebels visit Columbia in 2014, The teams will not play each other in conference play again for an entire decade. That's what the new schedule does. SEC teams play the same 7 conference teams every year, and play the other 6 twice every 12 years. The old schedule had the other five teams in the opposite division played twice every 5 years. I want you to think about that. in 2018, every single 4 year student at Miss will never get to see Ole Miss play Mizzou while they are a student. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Every single group with their own own 4 years of reach would never see Ole Miss play a fellow conference team. How fricked up is that?

Would people continue to watch the NFL if The Saints played the Falcons, Bucs, and Panthers four times every year, and then played two NFC teams and two AFC teams? No. Nobody wants to see teams play the same exact team every year. What's the point of being in the same conference if you play most sunbelt teams with more frequency?

Serious fans want to go to Athens or Gainesville or Tuscaloosa to see their team play. They want to experience what Columbia or College Station has to offer. You miss that next trip to Knoxville? Guess you'll have to wait 12 years.

9 game schedule solves this. Every other conference does it. I know we are always tough on each other but with playoffs now I think we could expand the conference schedule a bit.

STFU. Bama fans have no fricking say in this. Of course you aren't raging about your fricking cupcake schedule.

isn't the schedule likely going to 9 conference games following the 2013 season, so we don't yet know what's happening beyond that?

I don't really care about Mizzou in particular, they are just the SEC east team we play next year.

Alabama benefited from a weak conference schedule the last two years, primarily because Tennessee hasn't been up to standards. But Ole Miss over the long haul has the weakest schedule in the conference.

Would be funny if the SEC went to 9 games and we dropped FSU.

The worst part is that there are relatively easy fixes for the problem, such as a nine game conference schedule which would also bring more money in for the conference.

Sounds to me like OP wants to go to Athens more often. As it is, how often do Ole Miss fans get to come to Athens? Once every 10 years or so? GTFO with this bullshite.

If we do go to a 9 game schedule i think every SEC team should schedule one decent non conference game and then two absolute cup cakes. That would work for me....I agree with the OP and the LSU fans about traveling to some conference venues once every 12 years is bullshite.

You are an Ole Miss fan. Go watch someone who has a chance to win those road games if you want to visit so bad.
