Never seen? You're boasting about winning the 2000 title yet Texas has won 2 since then. That doesn't make any sense

So winning a title is the only way to be successful? All other 349 teams failed that year? If so, Texas has been "twice as successful" as LSU has over the past 21 years

See how easy that was?

You're digging yourself a bigger hole here...

We’ve already been over this, Matt’s El Dogshit.

Nobody cares if you go to Omaha unless you win, hence why winning is the only thing that matters.

Again, ask Aggy and Arkansas fans.

So by that metric, there's literally zero data whatsoever that would constitute LSU being any better than Texas, and USC is currently twice the program of either even though they haven't won a super regional since 2000...

Yeah man, I have no idea why nobody goes to Nebraska anymore after all the titles they’ve won

Texas Baseball winning only 2 titles in the last 40 years should make you feel better about Texas football only winning 1 title in the last 50.

Lol what does this topic even have to do with football?

You're getting defensive over me pointing out the fallacy of your definition of baseball success based on the parameters that you set

Over 50% of the time South Carolina goes to Omaha, they are in the championship game.

You think that'd hold up if they had 38 appearances instead of 11? Do they teach statistics at LSU?

Who am I kidding, you guys didn't go to college.

Are SCs CWSs appearances in the 70s and 80s somehow diminished?
Yes. The SEC hadn't even started trying until late 1980s.

Says the dipshit who will start at least five threads with his alter account about LSU making to Omaha.

Missouri has been to more CWS, won more titles and had more runners up than quite a few SEC programs.

The real question is if you were a coach with no ties to either and the money was the same, where would you rather go? I think for Texas and LSU it’s pretty much even.

Dude, hang it up. Texas is as elite as they come. Sometimes you have to recognize other program’s excellence and tip your hat to them. Texas’ success doesn’t take anything away from LSU’s. They are both elite, excellent, BlueBlood baseball programs.

First off, It's 3 titles dickhead. Here's a great story you probably won't like.

Let me start by saying I like Ben McDonald, a standup guy who always has good things to say about Texas.

TEXAS RIPS MCDONALD, LOUISIANA STATE, 12-7
June 9, 1989, OMAHA, NEB., JUNE 8 --

Ben McDonald, the Baltimore Orioles' 1st pick in the draft, became the 1st pitcher in the 43 years of the CWS to lose 4 games when the Texas Longhorns hammered out a 12-7 win. The 6-foot-7 LSU Jr. lasted only 3 1/3 innings against the Longhorns, who eliminated LSU and advanced to Saturday's Championship game.

Texas jumped all over McDonald's first mistake, a lead off walk to start the game, followed by a single, followed by a triple, followed by a singled, forcing LSU head coach Skip Bertman's first of 3 visits to check on Baseball America's Player of the Year.

When McDonald was lifted in the 4th, Texas was up 9-3. Reliever Mark LaRosa gave up 2 runs to close the book on McDonald. McDonald was unceremoniously ushered from the college game by Texas, giving up 11 earned runs, 9 hits, 3 walks and 6 strikeouts.

In 2 CWS appearances for LSU, the 2-time All-American appeared in 5 games, started 2, pitched 14 2/3 innings, gave up 24 hits, allowed 20 runs, 19 earned, walked 6 and struck out 17, with an ERA of 11.63.

We don't always win the CWS, but we're there every other year, and Ben always has good things to say about Texas.

LOL

in the last 40 years of Texas underachieving baseball, compared the the 40 years before 1983 where Texas was very successful, underachieving Texas from 1983 to now has

18 CWS Appearances
1st 3
2nd 5
3rd 6
5th 1
7th 3

another ridiculous stat, Texas has 80 Conference Championships
