Adding some quality pieces where needed but already having enough good experienced players they're keeping on the roster to gamble with too many portal players.

I’ve been told that going portal and NIL heavy means you’re desperate and that it wont work.

Looks like Kiffin may agree as he seems to be taking numbers closer to LSU's total rather than the numbers he's signed over the last few cycles.

transfer portal mostly = average players swapping from one bad team to another
And yes, Alabama hit it often last yr after so many players transferred out when Saban rertired.

Not sure what it says about the rankings if anything, but only 1 team in the top 44 was in the CFP.

He signed 25 and 23 the previous two years…..
