Because conference tournaments do not matter. It’s the most worthless post season tournament that we have, outside of the baseball conference tournament.
It’s important to teams on the bubble or to teams who are not in the field prior to it starting. That’s it.
This. The committee in the past has said they dont watch/keep up with games on Sunday.

Stop being such a scared pussy and go beat them.

At some point, you have to play good teams in the tournament.
What difference does it really make when you start doing it? Second weekend on is all damn good teams regardless of seed number by their name

Back in 1996, State beat UK (one the best ever UK teams ) on Sunday to win the SECT and we were seeded #5 in the NCAAT. It was obvious they already had the bracket completed before that game was played. It didn’t matter as we beat #1 UCONN & #2 seeded Cincinnati to go to the Final Four.
In reality nobody has an easy path. Every team in the tournament is legit good and you have to find a way to win and advance every game. That is it. Period

Seems pretty relevant to account for which teams are playing well in a tournament format at the end of the season.

I'm not against being arbitrary against SEC teams I hate, but when you look at Rick Barnes at UT and Bruce Pearl at AU, do you really think you're getting the better end of the deal?

Again. We have seen this one before. "Winning the championship should be hard" is about the stupidest retort I have heard tonight. Nobody is saying it should be easy.

Honest question: Alabama had a great OOC schedule where they lost most of their games against good opponents. Alabama went 13-6 against SEC teams while Auburn went 16-5. What does this mean to you?

Well, you don’t seem to understand the fact that a conference tournament doesn’t mean shite when it’s been said multiple times before you won it.
And at the end of the day, that retort is 100% true. There isn’t a single NCAA basketball national champion that didn’t deserve it. Suck it up and play through the draw.

It does, it's the conference tourney winner that means nothing

Another crazy aspect. South Carolina got a much better draw than us. I would trade places with South Carolina in a heartbeat.
Auburn NET = 5
South Carolina NET = 51
Auburn beat South Carolina twice by 40 and 31 points.
How the HELL does that happen? And I'm not dogging on USC. I have nothing against them in this and they had a great season and all but re-read what I just wrote above.
