5th in the country. Country. LSU wasn't in the top ten. Of all the teams, of ALL the teams to realize that final standings are more important than final SEC standings, you think it would be LSU. It is like they don't understand their own rings that said "#2 Nationally". Like they've wiped 1/9 from their collective memories. Swamp kittens are so cute.
Only thing that matters less than postseason rankings are preseason rankings after you get past the top spot.

quote:The same can be said about bama needing a miracle to beat LSU. See how that works?
To be fair LSU needed miracles against OM and auburn to win and couldn't beat Alabama. Also A&M beat the shite out if their bowl opponent. So the real myth is LSU football

if it happens that frequently can it really be called a miracle?
I also love how winning a close game = miracle to some people

Still 5th in the SEC. That's what he said. Can you not read?
1. Bama
2. Georgia
3. Florida
4. LSU
5. Texas A&M.
Was that too hard to figure out? Everybody knows that SEC rankings matter the most. Notre Dame finished 4th. Doesn't mean they were the 4th best team in the country.

So after nearly 15 years of football futility we beat #1 Alabama on the road, destroy #10 OU in the Cotton Bowl, win 11 games, finish in the top 5 and win the Heisman trophy and we aren't allowed to be really excited about any of it?
We accomplished as much if not more during the regular season than a large number of teams that have made it to Atlanta. What if we had made the SECCG with 3-4 losses like some teams of the past? Would the season be "worthy" of excitement then?

Ten years from now nobody but LSU fans will remember A&M finishing "behind" them based on a tiebreaker rule that doesn't actually exist when assigning order of finish after first. What they will remember is a Heisman and a top-5 finish.

A special season is not when you end up third in your division and play in Cotton bowl. LSU is no myth we have the hardware to prove it. So since you haven't I wouldn't put my foot in my mouth. Alabama has circled the A&M game all year and they wont be playing LSU the week before. LSu has kicked you arse the last 2 times we played and you are coming to our house.

This is a good thing for LSU. They've never had a real rival.

We will all remember the year that LSU fans tried to take credit for A&M's win in T-town. How can we forget something so cocksucking pathetic.

saban is the only coach in the sec that has prepared all season for the aggies. JF will be better than last year because sumlin is a offensive guru.. not worried at all when the aggies come to BR, because the Tigers shuts that chit down.

You are definitely going to remember it if Bama whips A&M this year because everybody is going to say told you so. One way or another, it will be a show on this site after that game.
I understand you being mad though (and the laughing faces don't change that). Losing to your new rival and having your new rival get a lot of the credit for the Bama win has to be disappointing.
