This thread was about DeVonta Smith, not LSU.

Not everything is about InsecureU.
exactly, nobody gives a shite about a middle of the road program and their fans.

And Chase still has 1500 more receiving yards and 20 more touchdowns despite coming out the same year and 90 million more dollars. Lol

Which has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. No one ever claimed that DeVonta Smith is a better or more talented wide receiver than Ja'Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson. This thread has to do with accolades. And when it comes to those, Smith blows both Chase and Jefferson out of the water.

Heisman Trophy
Maxwell Award
Walter Camp Award
Fred Biletnikoff Award
AP College Football Player of the Year
Sporting News College Football Player of the Year
SEC Male Athlete of the Year
SEC Offensive Player of the Year
CFP National Championship Game MVP
Unanimous 1st Team All-American
Unanimous 1st Team All-SEC

He will likely be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame before either Chase or Jefferson and he also has a Super Bowl ring to boot.

DeVonta shared the field with Henry Ruggs, Jaylen Waddle, Jerry Jeudy, and Calvin Ridley during his time at ALABAMA. Even then, as a true freshman, caught the winning TD from Hurts with seconds left to win in Starkvegas. Caught the most importanyt pass in BAMA history for a National Title from Tua Tagovailoa. No one met the moment like Smitty and conquered it. No one.

behind an LSU WR that didn’t even play

Somehow in the warped minds of LSU fans, going 5-5 and having their best player quit the team is a bigger win for the LSU program than winning a Heisman and national title so long as the player who quit gets drafted higher than Alabama’s Heisman winner.

You guys do realize that the supposed 2020 season that “doesn’t count” sure did count a lot for setting back your program tremendously. Your title winning coach was fired only one year after, his replacement hasn’t sniffed the playoffs, and you have lost every Week 1 game since.

He has these accolades because he wasn’t good enough the year before to get drafted in the first round. Covid year accolades

It bothers you insecure frickers so much that Smith has accomplished more than Chase.

Yep. And now he's getting paid very well for putting in the extra time and effort to improve his draft stock.

Indeed they are. But they probably count for DeVonta considering he went from being a second day draft pick to going in the Top 10.

You are so insecure about Smith that you make idiotic statements comparing him to a much better player. Smith is a good #2 receiver, Chase was the best receiver in the league last year and probably the best in the NFL since he entered the league four seasons ago.

Pro Bowls:

Chase 4
Smith 0

Both Chase and Smith are excellent receivers! I'm not knocking Chase but it would be hard for me to see a player sit out a season at Bama like Chase did at LSU. Again, I understand his reasons but I guess it was just a different culture and mentality between Bama and LSU.

Chase would trade those Pro Bowls for a Super Bowl. Smith was preparing for two Super Bowls while Chase was enjoying Orlando.

But hey, take up for a player who quit on LSU and told them to frick off when Burrow wasn’t his QB. Alabama fans understand why LSU fans choose to ignore 2020:

I guess you are in the camp of Fournettte being better than Derrick Henry. Seems ridiculous to me, but you be you.

The thread is about the most decorated receiver in SEC history. Nothing posted by LSU fans in this thread has proven that Chase is that over Smith.

Derrick Henry is more accomplished than Leonard Fournette so the comparison is a moot one. Henry adds value to the franchise he is a part of. Fournette rode the coattails of Tom Brady to a Super Bowl.
