I was simply reacting to someone talking to the effect of how CEH punished the Alabama defense that night. While that might be true, it's not like either defense put up a particularly good performance that day. LSU's offense had 559 total yards and Alabama had 541 total yards.

You mentioned LSU before I posted. You are so obsessed with the Tigers, you couldn’t help yourself. Seems like Insecure U is Alabama.
My post complimented Smith on being one of the top two or three #2 receivers in the league.

And yet WillyTryhard is the one who made it about Smith vs Chase. You’ll continue to suck him off but blame him, not me.

Damn, that bully Willy T ruined your thread again. Boo hoo.

Not ruined at all. It allowed me to post a stat comparison that showed Smith has a better college career and has done more in the Super Bowl as well. More rings, more touchdowns. All around give me Smiths accomplishments over Chase the quitter.

You were the first to bring up LSU

Yeah it was a game between the clear 2 top dogs in the SEC that actually lived up to billing

This is the first correct thing you have said today.

2019 broke you permanently.

No idea why what you quoted would make you say that. Two natties, a Heisman and a Super Bowl is better than one ring. It’s not difficult.

Imagine all that Devonta would have lost if he hadn't spurned his state school and went to Bama. No Heisman, no 2 NCs, drafted lower, no part of the greatest play in SEC history, probably college football history. Of course, he would have never known but...

Chase is in another class than Smith.

The fact that you said absolutely nothing here reflects more on your intelligence than it does on mine.

Yep. A class with only one national championship, no Super Bowls, and no Heisman trophies.

DeVonta Smith was always seen as the "lesser" of the Big Four in 2018 and 2019. He was smaller and seemingly not as fast.
You should go ahead and put that speed thing to rest. What DeVonta had that was so much better than his peers was his catch radius. He doesn't drop balls and makes ridiculous catches that others can only dream about. He has incredible body control and is so much tougher than his size says he should be. Now, if Jalen Hurts could ever become the guy that performs so well in Super Bowls, but I doubt that will be the norm. He will always be the reluctant passer.

I don’t frequent this board often.. but it seems clear gumps have little to nothing that excites them outside Alabama football. An interesting bunch for sure

And Chase still has 1500 more receiving yards and 20 more touchdowns despite coming out the same year and 90 million more dollars. Lol

0-1 in the Super Bowl.
