seems like this board is the best place to come for news and inside info on Camgate. What are the other sites that I should be following that are actually doing continuous investigative reporting on this and that are not trying to protect CAm Newton at all costs?

I edited my post, sorry, the McGregor and Colonial stuff comes from the scout site.

I read this whole thread last night and still have a few questions about the whole story. Can someone please start a new thread for dummies explaining the source of info, all the new info, and the story BOL has formed.
-I don`t see how rogers or bond are tied into the money laundering scheme.
-What was the deal with boosters getting wire tapped as part of a gambling ring investigation? Is there is credibility to that story.
-Is Bell still out of the country?
-Why isn`t Cecil`s formation of a LLC(zion deliverance center fall 2007) and dissolution of it(9/15/10) not a huge deal? Seems like the media should be poking their nose around this church more. Where is the congregation... Why aren`t they sticking up for Cecil?
-When you said Lowder was in charge of finances for Auburn. What does that mean?
*Seems like we have a few different theories here. The stuff with Lowder would be crushing. Nobody likes him around here, I don`t understood how he is still in a position of power. Especially since he lost most of his money.

In the course of major developments, little bits of information slip out. No one party, unless they are operating with their own incentive in mind, comes out and tells all. But as a situation begins involving more and more people, it is only natural that information leaks. National security operations have long operated on the premise that leaks are directly related to the number of people informed.
A corollary would be a merger or takeover. Everyone is punishable by the SEC for insider trading, but firms usually experience fluctuations before any public announcement is made. When a large number of people are exposed to information, little bits slip out, intentionally or not.
If the Auburn case is so wide reaching, hundreds of people will be involved at some level, in some aspect. Everyone from the secretary, paralegal, and runner level to the lead counsel and primary targets knows something of interest. They have friends, they hold professional, well intentioned discussions in office with colleagues who also have friends, and on and on. What of the people who share office space? If you saw the FBI coming up the elevator to someone's office on the floor above, what are the odds you would mention it to another? All it takes is a few comments like, "I don't know anything, but I did see the FBI at the firm interviewing X", or, "my partners not saying much, but I can tell its bad."
Each bit adds color to a larger picture. The key is knowing what is truth, exaggeration, out-right BS, or deliberate disinformation. Odds are, when everything is finished and publicly known, the information relevant to providing a glimpse into to the realities of this case will be found to have existed on forums before it was over.

Lowder is still in power because he put most of the elected officials that matter in the state of Alabama into office. The state actually chooses the board of trustees, not the school, so you do the math. its not that hard to understand how Lowder stays in power

I would never jeapoardize my inkling of cred by throwing crap out there, but...
Our neighbor has some very close friends close to the program and she told us accurately that something much bigger was going on several weeks ago.
Turned out, the FBI is involved.
She said it also includes Dyer and even may have to do with the reason the program settled on Chizick in the first place....and mentioned the dude that does those lumber commercials as being heavily involved.
I thought it was all rumor when I heard it, but so far so true...
I hate to even say it, becuase I don't want to start anything, but it's been dead-on so far.
It would make sense that this could be part of something much bigger.

Of course, it's entirely possible this is all just payback by Bama for the Gadsden rumors.
If so, man they are getting us good.![]()
You remember the old saying, "everytime Alabama gets investigated, Auburn goes on probation"?
Y'all should have left that Gadsden shite alone.

You have no cred homey. This is a message board and you have an anonymous user name. Everyone here has "inside" info.

Thanks... I even hated to write what I heard, because I usually don't believe it anyway.
Just another angle to consider in all this

Just busting your balls man. I think Auburn is caught up in quite a shite-storm. As a fan you have to take up for your school I guess but to think they'll just walk away as if nothing happened is asinine at best.

Hm I don`t know. Everything seems plausible. But if Lowder has that much power, I don`t see him getting busted. He`d prob find a way to screw the university or the AD before he fell.
Makes sense about the board of trustees.
Also its starting to make sense why ESPN and other outlets were coming out with shitty info. They may have known about the bigger picture, but they obviously don`t have enough to run a story that tremendous. I don`t think it`d be a sports issue anymore either.
How come the FBI hasn`t made a statement/comment? All we know is what JB said about whether or not young men are getting shopped to colleges.

What was I thinking going to sleep without checking the rant last night. I have slept through all the good shite and have been playing catch up since 8 oclock.
Will have to give props to my dad for calling the McGregor thing, Pat Dye and Lowder Saturday morning. Best I can tell he has the insider info. BTW, he is a member of the REC. Hmmmmmmm.

Does the FBI have a habit of doing media sessions in the middle of an investigation like this?
Posted on 11/15/10 at 10:28 am to wardamnamerica
FBI ain't going to be making "statements" to the press, not at this juncture at least. the Newton eligibility issue is a very small piece of what they are after.

I don`t know. I would hope they`d say something if a institution was under investigation for embezzling funds.
