W&L was probably the most reliable source of info on the old Tidesports site. He was almost always spot on however his info was always that of someone who's inside the UA program / on the sidelines ect.
He was also one of the most level headed posters even though he fell into AU is a bitter rival camp as well. This post, if it's his, seems almost out of character for its level of vitriol.
I hope there's nothing anywhere as serious as all this from AU. Would be bad for all fans of SEC football IMO.

I don't know why you aubbies keep saying Rich McGlynn is a former FBI agent.
Every bio of him has no mention of the FBI whatsoever-
From the AU website-
1999 - graduated from law school
1999 - 2000 - counsel for state of NJ
2000 - 2001 - commissioner of Central Atlantic Collegiate conference and counsel to NJ General Assembly
2001 - 2006 - NCAA in various positions
2006 - hired by Auburn
Was the dude a secret double undercover agent, because I don't see any blue windbreakers on this guy's resume.
And I am shocked that someone that young is in charge of a major university's compliance.

Yes, he was the reason they went on probation over the Eric Ramsey shite. Auburn actually slapped the NCAA in the face when they allowed him back near their program.
Awe man, y'all had to mention Pat Dye. His name can't come up without me going on a rant. He is the biggest low life racist on the planet earth. I heard the tapes as the NCAA disbanded the Auburn Slave Camp he was running and they are not very pretty to sit through. If he did the things he did today, I can't even begin to imagine the nation's response. College Football Hall of Fame my arse. Yeah, that's really going to come back and bite them in the butt. That said, it would be interesting to get him in a room with Les Miles just to see how long it would take for one of them to complete a sentence. The jury is still out on that one.

I'm sticking with the information coming out of Alabama might be inaccurate.
Ross,
The lawyer Auburn hired teaches at the University of Alabama School of Law, that is the big glass and brick building next to our baseball field.
I know it hurts and you are a great poster but alabama will know what is going on before Auburn does.

It's completely incomprehensible how Dye got back involved with Auburn.

He has since left Montgomery where Colonial was once headquartered and moved to Auburn. He also holds onto his post as head of the University’s Finance Committee. Can you image a busted banker being in charge of Auburn’s money as head of its finance committee?
He took a $164MM hit with Colonial. FBI forensic accounting can be a bitch. Money laundering through AU?

If we get hammered because of the idiocy of our entire system, not just administration but the entire system, I'm going to be extremely pissed off at the institution.
I spent too much god damn money on tickets this year to see a vacated season.

I also remember a Tidesports poster named Monticello being well thought of as being an insider. You got some super inside sources you want to spill.
I would not consider myself an "insider", but on this story, I was until the media reported what I had already written.
I started a thread on Tidesports back in January basically detailing what an extremely good Miss St source had told me about what would eventually become Camgate.
Nuts and bolts were that Cecil approached State wanting money, claiming that Tennessee had already made an offer and wanting State to match it. (The source believes UT did not actually make this offer). State said no and 2 weeks later Auburn suddenly entered the picture out of nowhere and he was committed. My source had nothing directly proving Auburn paid a cent and I still have nothing to this day proving Auburn did anything wrong.

I wasn't attacking but I have just seen this repeated over and over by AU fans - mostly on ITAT - and I can't believe how many of them seem to take comfort in that in regards to the FBI being involved in this situation.
It is being used by some as a rebuttal to it, as in "our guy called in a few favors and got the FBI to help us out".
Most of them have no idea they are wrong.
The dude is 32! If he had gone into the FBI, he would still be working in a field office in Topeka at this point.

He's just trying, much like I am, to figure out a way this dude could be off.
Well, he could start by saying something to the effect of, "This dude could be off." After all, you didn't have much of a problem saying it.
Instead, and in direct contravention of your claim that he's good people, he tried to twist it into a slur right off the bat.
That's bad posting. Though, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since you say he's a good guy.

This organization fails so often. Can't put a winning team out there without something fricking us over.

From the latest pieces surfacing would it be a stretch to think the FBI is investigating the Lowder - McGregor - Colonial Bank issues and simply trolled across something on Newton in the process? The fact that Lowder was allowed to remain such an influential insider at Auburn is simply astounding. If some of these rumors are proven true this will have far more reaching consequences for Auburn than their football program.
