The mean center of population in the contiguous United States in 9.5 miles from Hartsville in Wright county Missouri. Nobody is going to confuse Hartsville with NYC of course, that isn't how it's figured.

St. Louis is a hell of a lot better than Memphis.

East St. Louis isn't better than anywhere that isn't on fire.

That’s not how you initially phrased it. I get your meaning now, but you had a superfluous “and” initially

How is Birmingham the population center of the SEC? Even if you include the metro, it’s much smaller than the cities AND metros of Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville, NOLA, etc.

Goddamn, Mississippians are stupid.

By OP’s logic, Minneapolis is an SEC city. Somebody please remind me we let Arkansas in.

I have family in Joplin so I’ve been to St. Louis about a million times. Once we accidentally drove into East St. Louis. Once.

I wonder where the population center of the SEC is these days? The three MOST POPULOUS cities in the SEC are all in Texas (Houston, Dallas, and San ANTONIO).

Birmingham might have been the center of the SEC at one time, but I doubt it is now. Memphis is probably closer to the center of the SEC that Bham is. And Atlanta is too far east to be anywhere near the center.

LOL - again, this is semantics. Metro San Antonio is less than half the size of Metro Atlanta. It's smaller than Miami, Atlanta, St Louis, Orlando and Tampa.
