The LSU-Florida game will NOT be canceled

All I keep seeing is LSU fans saying the game will be canceled and it's what UF wants.
What has UF said to indicate this is true?
Do you really think they didn't come to the conclusion they did without thinking about everything? They know the potential impact of the storm and will move it back if necessary, but this game will not get canceled.
For the LSU fans that keep saying "we've been there, we know what it's like" -- you all fail to realize that the state Florida is much more equipped to deal with a hurricane than Louisiana was.
For the LSU fans that think it's stupid because it's a strain on the "resources." The security personnel that Florida uses for games are almost all from the Gainesville area and they wouldn't want to send them elsewhere anyway... Almost all communities in Florida are prepared for this storm and no "extra resources" will be needed for the game.
Now we may have less attendance due to some people not making it from the coast because of damage, but it'll still be more than there would have been in tiger stadium, and we will stay for the whole game.

Florida fans keep saying this stupid shite but y'all haven't had to deal with a hurricane in over a decade.

Honest question. Some LSU fans traveling are reporting that they have been contacted by their hotels and advised that their rooms were no longer available due to evacuees needing them. Do you think FL should reimburse their ticket costs, and any other lost expenses? Or should LSU fans just be forced to eat them?

In 2005, my hotel in Baton Rouge was canceled because of evacuees and you all insisted on having the game. I still went. So no, you guys can deal.

No dumbass, I definitely still went. Had to sleep in my car at the Mississippi-Louisiana border and made it all the way to Tallahassee to crash at a friend's after the game. Long day but we did it. I was young too so we really didn't care that much.

It's more what they've done. They've refused to make any alternate arrangements in case the game can't be played in Gainesville. They're gambling that the game can be played there, and I hope they're right. If they're wrong, since there's no alternative plan, the game will be canceled, and I think UF is OK with that. They know they still have a good chance to win the East because Tennessee has two tough games against SEC West teams and could easily lose both, so if UF doesn't lose another game they win the East. This is obviously one of the games they have the potential to lose, so not playing it will work to their advantage. They won't worry about losing money from not having the game because they have insurance for that.

They cannot guarantee that, and they have not. They could have, but chose not to. I hope we all win the roll of the dice they chose over the sure thing.

More arrogant bullshite from Florida people. Florida has had more than its share of tragedy from storms they weren't prepared enough for.

If half the state is devastated with flooding, power outages, etc., it would be highly irresponsible NOT to send any and all emergency personnel available into the affected areas to help people. The ones working the game will now not be available. Obviously, we all hope they are not needed, but no one can be sure of that right now.
