Every Alabama coach (who's actually coached a game) since Ears Whitworth in the 1950s has won 10+ games at least once. May want to temper your expectations a bit.

Absolutely agree. Your reasonable fans probably see what will come next, a perineal 9-3/10-2 team with 11-1/12-0 sprinkled in every 4-5 years. That’s still damn good and will put you in the playoffs more often than not.
The question is. Will the unreasonable section of your fanbase accept this after the last 16 years?

They have enough talent and institutional inertia to go 8-4 or 9-3 even with the worst high school coach you could dig up. Not saying that Bama won't eventually decline, but it'll take a few years.
