Stoops faces another brutal schedule next year, possible loss of some solid recruits this offseason, loss of season ticket renewal, and loss of program momentum. He has GOT to make considerable staff changes and reevaluate everything or he's not going to be employed here much longer. His buyout may pale in comparison to the lost ticket revenue, etc if we get another season of missed opportunities.

Say what you will about Coach Brooks, the best thing he did for the University of Kentucky is finally wake our fan base up to having expectations, meager though they are in comparison to our SEC brethren. Not going to a bowl game this year is inexcusable. There is plenty of blame to go around, but the buck stops at the top.

I will admit I don't watch a lot of UK sports, but I thought the wildcats have gained momentum over the last few years. Joker seemed to have left everything bare.

Admittedly I thought the cats would have made a run at the east this year because I thought towles would blow it up along with the RB core ya'll have.

Was really looking forward to a great year for yall. though yall had only 2 guaranteed games that yall wouldnt win.Being Tennessee and Florida.
Thought yall would upset Georgia.
Head scratcher games were the Vanderbilt game and the Louisville one.

But yalls freshman RB Sihiem King looks like a really decent back. Will be nice to keep an eye on him next year.

And is Towles coming back for his Senior year?
I like Drew Barker btw.

I have only watched UK play three times (UGA,AUB,Vandy) so take this FWIW, but I thought that after yall started 4-1 that Stoops had finally turned the corner. I was genuinely worried about the potential for an upset as part of Mark Richt's three part annual bedshitting, but after watching the Auburn game I realized that this was not the case and my opinion was solidified after watching the Tennessee and Miss St. games.

Stoops has put together 3 top 40 recruiting classes and one top 25 class and is on track for another top 25 class based on 247's rankings. I know that recruiting isn't everything, not even close, but if Stoops doesn't get over the hump and gets canned next year he has undoubtedly left the program in better shape than when he arrived despite the lack of success on the field.

These responses say it all. We're light years away from where we need to be.

I'm glad some of you have enough respect for your program to finally start questioning Stoops. He's obviously not the guy to get Kentucky over the hump.

Losing to VANDY in year 3? Missing a bowl two straight years because they can't beat Louisville?

And honestly, yesterday should have been his last game as the head coach of Kentucky. That was such a pathetic display and should not be excused. I'm surprised he has anyone in his corner after that.

They had rich Brooks once. I thought he was underrated.

Maybe, y'all can somehow make a hybrid between Bert and Stoops. Bert can't win early in the year and Stoops can't win late in the year.

Chalk UK up to another team that thought they were worth a damn because they beat us.

I am disappointed with where we are after 3 years with Stoops. The play and ingame decision making were awful all year.

There is plenty of blame to go around, but losing to Vandy is where I said enough. Personally I like Stoops demeanor and want him to succeed. I want to see serious changes made and us to get this thing rolling. But we lost to a TERRIBLE Vandy team, had to beat EKU in OT, and blew a 21-0 FIRST QUARTER lead to our arch rival. I'm sorry, that crap isn't just player execution.

We take satisfaction in knowing we made that old bastard retire after losing two straight to us. Good riddance.

I agree with all of this. I'm beginning to think he isn't HC material, but I am willing to see what changes he makes and what the offseason looks like. Hope he can keep his recruiting class intact. Lots of needs in the upcoming class, even if freshmen.

Gary Pinkel and Dan Mullen are great examples of coaches who haven't recruited like Saban but still produced excellent results for their university. Bitter as I am right now, I don't have any doubt about Stoops' work ethic. He'll do whatever he can to get this fixed. Thing is, is his "good enough" actually good enough. The answer is not looking promising.
