I heard that 15 million would have to be paid by 12-31, then the rest would be divided into 4 years.

The issue is what money do you have left to hire a new coaching staff after you pay that buyout?

I'd coach Auburn for just the last six digits of that buyout.
Auburn be fked.

Lol AU have some of the worst facilities in the conference (easily the worst out of the big 6, worse than Aggie as well).
If you can’t raise enough money to improve facilities, what makes you think you can raise $32m + buyouts for assistants + a new staff?

Jimmy Rane and Tim Cook have that much money in their car ashtrays.

Well I think it would basically be a $32 million gamble as we could get someone even worse.
But after we went el cheapo with Gus and Chiz, I personally would be pretty pissed if we hired another bargain coach hoping to strike gold.
I dunno if we can attract a top guy or not either. On one hand we are between a rock and a hard place with bama and uga doing well. On the other that hasnt seemed to matter much as we keep signing top 10 classes and beat both of them the last time we played them.
Who the hell knows. I do believe we have the kind of F you money to pay off gus and hire a top tier coach for 5-8 million and pay for a good staff if we absolutely have to.
I have been saying no way we fire Gus. I'm starting to think if he loses out except to Liberty, we may be crazy enough to do it.

Umm we are about the start building a new football facilities building and we are the second most profitable program in the SEC ahead of bama.
The money is there. FU money is available or will be raised if it comes to that.

Harry Rex, have you ever seen a college football team as far up a dead horses arse is our friends down on the plain?
It will be one of the GusBuss’ all time best coaching jobs if he can lead the Boogs to the Birmingham Bowl from where they sit tonight.

Well, Cook did just cash in $121M in apple stock grants about a month ago for out performing the S&P. That is in addition to the $13M in pay from Apple, Nike and others he took in just last year.
So yeah, he could probably stroke a $32M check tomorrow if he felt like it. Not that he would though.

All Auburn needs to find is some skeleton in Gus's closet or create some "he was gonna rape me" woman to step forward.
I'll give you some high ranking Democrats' phone numbers to get the ball rolling.
You're welcome.

The idea that we have guys sitting around waiting to write a $32 million dollar buyout check is absurd. Since we share a state with bama lets use them as an example.
The booster network with (deep pockets) at bama is a like stepping on an ant hill. The booster network with (deep pockets) at Auburn can all ride in a mini-van together.

ATM set the bar with Jimbos's huge guaranteed contract. A. Top coach will want at least that much. Good luck
