add to that bama played teams missing over 15 players.

this is just a fact

i think going 10-0 vs SEC is impressive.....just not 10-0 vs teams that have 80% of their roster.

No, because that isn't an offensive PPG stat or an offensive award, which is what was specifically noted incorrectly.

Bama manged covid better than any other team

Bama 2020 was absolutely all time good

But due to covid, they faced depleted teams, empty away stadiums, and a light schedule. That isnt their fault, but its just the facts

Pretty clearly not true, but just a symptom of how stupid and unserious this discussion is.

No disagreement here.

2020 was a unique year and it's difficult to compare to others, IMHO. I hate it, because it robbed something from this group, but they made the best of it and dominated everything in front of them.

Enjoy your F year and that 5 and 5 that is hung on you as well.

Alabama owns you Ed! Owns you and it is documented for you.

Who cares about awards where numerous top players at their position weren’t even playing. LSU beat 7 top ten teams. Bama beat 4.

you don't have to go get the stats for me. but you faced teams devastated by opt outs (not your fault) and covid. we are talking about teams missing 20% of their roster.

not acknowledging that is a symptom of how stupid and unserious this post is. but youre allowed to do that.

Apparently the person who incorrectly said "LSU won more offensive awards than Alabama and scored more points per game".

Ask him, I guess. No clue.

No we won't because it won't take us 15 years to win another title.

It didn't take LSU 15 years between titles either. LSU has made it to the NC 4 times in the last 20 years and won 3 of them. Only Bama's record is clearly better.

Also, the last 3 coaches for LSU all won NCs. I don't see Bama doing that after Saban retires. Of course, Bama could try to hire Miles or Orgeron.

SOG there is really no point in going forward with these folks.

They have 2019 to wear forever.

As noted by Glorious the other day, the only team in our league that was truly "devastated" by opt outs against Alabama in terms of starters and NFL level talent was LSU with 4 (Marshall, Chase, Shelvin, Vincent). Outside of LSU, Alabama faced 2 SEC teams who had NFL level draft picks not play (Jamin Davis from Kentucky and Shawn Davis from Florida). That's it - over 10 SEC games.

I've said multiple times that 2020 is a unique season not really comparable to others. But the fact is most players did play, very few did not, and Alabama only ran into 1 or 2 teams that had large scale COVID issues the week they played (Kentucky being the main one, Ohio State with 2-3 in their front 7).

And Alabama beat the ever living shite out of basically everyone they played other than Florida in Atlanta and Georgia in Tuscaloosa for 1 half. The idea that we wouldn't have dismembered the SEC in a "normal year" is a joke. It's fine for possibly disqualifying them from a "best of all time" discussion, but that's where it ends. Nobody in this league was beating Alabama in 2020 - whether they had 200,000 fans in the stands or 20.

One team played without their HC. Imagine that.

Ole Steve took advantage of that and Hooked the Horns in the process.

Some would say Loseranna State played the entire year without their DC.

They generally are the ones who count when your argument is "a team was missing their good players and if they'd played things would have turned out differently". We could talk about how Texas A&M was missing their #2 and #5 receivers who opted out, I guess. Do you think that would have made much difference in the Alabama/Texas A&M game?

No he didn't, because he wasn't a very good football player last year.

What's the point there?

By the end of the year, I off the top of my head i can count these players that didn't play for LSU:

Arik Gilbert
Derek Stingley
Racey McMath
Jamar Chase
Terrace Marshall
Tyler Shelvin
Neil Farrell
Justin Thomas
Kary Vincent (Drafted)

Most Started in 2019... There are waaaaay more.

A microcosm of the SEC in General as referenced by your many posters that say that LSU opted out....disparaging their competition, just like they said that ND and OSU didn't belong there.

I understand that you aren't responsible for what Earlycuy and Cajunbama say....nor do you want to associate yourself with them.

But the fanbase in general stated that either some teams were a bunch of pansies for not playing, or some CFP contenders didn't even belong.

That just doesn't scream "Best season or accomplishments of all time." It wouldn't to you either if the team doing that weren't crimson.
