You have No argument Skippy. Alabama owns you and it is documented for you. Well for those that can read.

You really need 3 drafts to judge a team (because freshman and sophomore starters are drafted after

So far, lsu had had this taken from full time starters on the 2019 team

* is 2020 draft

1st pick (1st round)
5th pick * (1st round)
22nd pick (1st round)
28th pick (1st round)
32nd pick (1st round)
44th pick (2nd round)
59th pick* (2nd round)
61st pick (2nd round)
69th pick (3rd round)
83rd pick (3rd round)
97th pick (3rd round)
108th pick (4th round)
122nd pick* (4th round)
205th pick*(6th round)
224th pick*(6th round)
237th pick*(7th round)
131st pick (4th round)
185th pick (6th round)
251st pick (7th round)

I think Stingley is the only starter left from the 2019 team, so he will be added later.

so, 20/22 starters from the 2019 team will be drafted for lsu,

So far, Bama starters from the 2020 team

6th pick (1st round)
9th pick (1st round)
10th pick (1st round)
15th pick(1st round)
17th pick (1st round)
24th pick(1st round)
3th pick (2nd round)
38th pick (2nd round)
193rd pick (6th round)
222nd pick (6th round)

So, it seems hihgly unlikely the bama 2020 team will reach the heights and depth of the 2019 lsu team as far as the draft is concerned

2020 starters who will be drafted in the future (without much doubt)

- Christian Harris
- Josh Jobe
- Jordan Battle
- Will Anderson
- Malachi Moore
- Chris Allen
- Brian Branch
- Phidarian Mathis
- Evan Neal
- Jahleel Billingsley
- John Metchie

That would make 21 guys.

Others who were quasi-starters or tweeners draft
- LaBryan Ray
- DJ Dale
- Tim Smith
- Demarcco Hellams
- Byron Young
- Justin Eboigbe

So, I mean, it'll be pretty close. Very few of our 2020 defenders are off our roster yet, and a lot of them were young and very talented. The only guys we lost were Surtain, Barmore and Moses.

Well this also makes it "unfair" to judge by draft

A freshman could have started, not been that great, then improves and is a 1st round draft pick after thei junior year. But should that 1st round talent really be "counted" for the team his freshman year? Who knows.

Also, the 2019 team gets Jefferson counted as the 22nd pick, yet he had the best rookie season of all time. So, basically, judging by draft also has its flaws

keep hanging on to that one year. I guess if my team had lost 9 of the past 10 games then I would keep the shovel handed and keep digging for what I could find.

Really it is embarrassing. Enjoy your year.

This thread is about that year

Bama fans seem as obsessed about that year as lsu fans. Which is the strange part.

As with most of these things

Lot of great players on those teams. Way more than almost any other teams have had over time.

In one mans opinion, I think both 2019 LSU, AND 2019 Bama beat 2020 bama

I think Saban was just that much better at every other coach at handling the covid year

I disagree on 2019 Alabama, but I've gone through my reasons on that before. The 2019 Alabama defense just had zero shot to stop any offense with a pulse and balance. They were that bad in the front 7 - because of talent but more so because of youth (and the inexperience and lack of strength that came with it).

The 2019 Alabama offense was all-time great, but the defense was one of the worst units we've had in the Saban era. The 2020 Alabama offense would have scored 50+ points against them without a problem, and I'm really not exaggerating. The mauling that the 2020 o-line would give to the 2019 DL and LBs would be unsafe for young eyes.

No matter how you want to spin it, nobody will ever be able to match it. But 1995 Nebraska is still the GOAT. 2020 Alabama is just the best of the playoff era.

LSU had the more accomplished season than all of them.

LSU fans...forever frozen in 2019

While that may be, we also deserve to be. But that has nothing to do with the OP’s post. Bama fans have boasted the past year that their 2020 team was the best ever and just so much better than LSU 2019 so frick you if you got triggered by the OP sticking back in your sister clit licking faces.

LSU fan pretending a Texas team that didn't even finish ranked in the coaches poll was a top10 win.

Amazing how things change in the heads of bama fans. All bama fans do is brag how great this 2020 undefeated ALL SEC season was... but doesn't care to compare the numbers on who bad the SEC really was.

Ok about Texas, that’s a fair point. But let’s talk about getting to play a 7 win team with a hurt QB and 20+ players out due to covid, or a 29-0 defending national champion at full strength for a natty? Which do you think was tougher?

He sat out ... Bama’s “greatest team evuh”.

2020 Bama was the best TEAM I've ever seen. Played selflessly and for each other. It was talent rich, but the synergy they gained from playing as a team was the real difference maker.

2019 LSU also had one of the greatest seasons ever, but not the same look or attitude. Burrow held that team together and their playcalling coupled with 3 NFL WRs and an NFL RB (similar to Bama) enabled its success.

Chase is a tremendous WR. We will see if he is viewed as a team guy going forward in the NFL.

And, by the way, having the best WRs (arguably) in each schools history all get picked behind a TE for his receiving skills makes me laugh at all of these back and forth convos. Pitts was the #1 receiving threat off the draft.
