Spoiler Alert - we do not.
I have a very good friend that is a life-long UK supporter. Kentucky was ready to see Cal go. It was time for new blood.
There is NOTHING wrong with that for either team!
I don't understand threads that make something else out of this. Cal/Kentucky needed to separate and Arkansas needed a new coach. I think both teams were fortunate.
Nothing to see here, move on!

And you hired Pope. Lol

Seemed to be a mutual divorce to me, from afar.

Let’s see. LSU fired Ogeron who won a National championship. Then you hired Brian Kelly.

Never regarded it as a steal. Both parties got out of it what they wanted.
Kentucky was tired of him, justifiably frustrated that a historical Blue Blood was sporadically competitive, & a payroll that didn't meet those ridiculously high expectations. For some dumb reason, they gave him a lifetime contract and then wanted to welsh on that deal.
Arkansas needed a solid replacement to continue the rebuild that a shirtless Musselman was doing. Cal had a relationship with the right guy at Arkansas to ensure he could pull in top tier recruiting classes.
Win/ win... well Kentucky will win again some day, but both got what they wanted in Cal to Arkansas.

In an overly simplified world Arkansas, Kentucky, Florida are all at the top and Bama and LSU are second tier.

We won 1 game in five years. Last year we won two. So that isnt the Mike drop you think it is. Facts are stubborn things.

Kentucky was very much with him..much better. You are very fricking average now. You will be until you hire a coach that knows what he is doing..you were fricking 10-8 in SEC play last year...you are average now.
Like Duke and UNC...If you fail at them or UK with all the money they all put in to basketball for multiple years in a row you are not very good at all. You spend 22 mill on a very, very, very average roster..it is painfully clear your coach is terrible.
We spent over 12 mill less on our roster and are very good..so no excuses.

Agreed..if anyone would have said he was going to leave UK for Arky five years ago we would of probably all laughed.

It really was best for both schools IMO.
There are some things that I don’t love about Cal but I really do like how he engages with his players. His guys are loyal to him and that’s hard to find these days.

Arkansas stealing Calipari from Kentucky
Calipari had not gotten Kentucky to the sweet sixteen since 2019. Since 2019, Calipari had led Kentucky to one single NCAA tourney win, and lost in the first round as a #2 seed and a #3 seed.

If I beg you to take the bitch that's driving me crazy ... and you then do it and like it ... you can call it a lot of things.
But stealing isn't one of them.
For your benefit I just created a thread ranking the most successful SEC Basketball programs over the past decade.
Check it out!

We wanted him gone for several years. Whatever helps Arkansas fans sleep at night, we don't particularly care.
We are glad he is gone.
/Thread.
You can't do an "/thread" on your own comment, man.
You see, y'all, this is the the problem with Kentucky fans. They aren't smart. Period.
This is also why a lot of us are old enough to remember these Appalachian Foothilllers' crowing over over "locking Cal up" with a frickin Lifetime Contract and ain't no damn way you taking him from us nonsense.
Arkansas took yall's coach and Arkansas is now the #1 on the SEC over the past decade while Kentucky starts to slide down the rankings. #Facts
