You're trying to equate a strike being called a ball to a upper deck home run being completely ignored.
First, the grab is weak as frick and there is ZERO reason to question why or how it wasn't called. To question that call or to tie you're entire argument to it would mean we have to go back to 0's on the clock and examine every second and every player's hands to see how tiny grabs(and we're blowing the whistle on every single one of them) affected the game. Auburn might have been up by 5 with 4 seconds left after we examine the grabs.
There's nothing subjective about the double dribble.

I am aware, but UVA didn't exactly have a person with the ball skills of Sexton.

TL;DR
The correct call is a foul at 4.0. Be mad about it.

Tyus Edney was in almost the same spot with 1.5 seconds left and beat Missouri with a layup.
The foul was the correct move. Basketball happens fast.

quote:And the same logic applies to the grab (pulled jersey) BEFORE the double dribble! Pal, all you're doing is putting a blemish on an other wise fine season by your team..
A missed call to me is an obvious call that a ref wasn’t in position to see. He was in position, he saw the double dribble and didn’t call it.

I'm not mad.
I'm trying to tell you that you're the one being ridiculous. Not Auburn fans.

Other than the fact that it was an intentional foul when auburn was clearly trying to commit one.
Seriously, did none of you guys ever play competitive basketball?

Your troll game is weak, and it’s making you mad.

I don't believe that you believe that tiny arse grab was an obvious intentional foul.

If I recall, the same could be said about a bogus offsides call on a punt block in the natty

He is not allowed to advance or touch the ball first if he is out of bounds when losing control of the ball. He was not out of bounds. The ball bounced off his foot and he lost possession of it. So show me a rule that says that if the ball bounces off of his foot and he loses possession of it. That ge is not allowed to advance the ball. If which he is able to pick up the ball and dribble again.

The double dribble happened because his jersey was grabbed.

and that’s what Brown did
And it was extremely far from obvious.

No but he’s fouled before he picks up the ball with two hands
Posted on 4/7/19 at 10:10 am to Elleshoe
He was held which is a foul but all the rules on double dribble say when the player is in posession of the ball. Which he was not. There is no rule that I can find about if he loses posession off of his own foot. It just states when in posession, which he clearly was not.

Dribbling off your foot and picking the ball back up with two hands is not a loss of possession.

You are absolutely correct. It’s when he started dribbling again that was the double dribble.
