I understand it perfectly. The 2nd largest Saban fanbase is very close by.

I won't say that Bielema was a bad hire (2 years ago I would've said he was a great hire), but I don't think he is a great hire.
He got into the Rose Bowl this year by simple luck that PSU and tOSU were ineligible. So I hate the "3 straight Rose Bowl appearances" argument for why he is good. Not to mention they lost all 3.
He also pissed me off when he refused to give Oregon State game film and Oregon State had to get it from one of Wisconsin's opponents. I was glad that Oregon State won that game.
tl;dr He was successful in a conference when the traditional powers were down. He earned 2 Rose Bowl births and essentially backed into a 3rd, but ended up winning none of them. He seems to kind of be a dick.

Hes a good coach, but he needs to hire an innovative OC. He wont do much trying to grind it out bs LSU and Bama IMO.

Probably right. Only 2 teams that can consistently get away with that are LSU and 'Bama because they have the defense to slow the other team down.
If he can get a good DC and recruit some defensive talent to slow LSU/Bama down, then he could win with a power run game.
Also, with a good QB, I don't think Bielema is against passing. Russel Wilson looked pretty good in his offense. Russel Wilson was also really smart and apparently really talented (based on his NFL debut as a rookie), so Bielema may not find another QB like that every year.
