If you’re not familiar with who Aggie took do a little research. Aggie staff now looks loaded. And Schloss is scrambling to replace 2 guys he said were irreplaceable

Eric Sorenson has 7 SEC teams in, that would be amazing and take a lot of luck

Isn't Cain basically replacing Longley and Tulo replacing Earley?

Basically replacing? Taking the spot of the best recruiter and hitting coach you’ve had in a decade isn’t a guaranteed “replacing” what was lost.

That's the case with any coaching change.

You said he was scrambling to replace those two but they seen to have already been replaced.

During the year, Aggies told me Schloss was an elite head coach, Cain was one of the best recruiters in college baseball, and Weiner was the best pitching coach in the country but now they've seemingly "upgraded"?

No, Schloss is an excellent head coach and no denying it’s a blow, but Aggie hit back, plus looks like Aggie is keeping all its players because no one knew the extent players disliked Schloss.

I mean I guess.

They took Earley by making him the head coach. Not so sure the other guy wasn't gone anyway, Cain was his replacement.

No shame in it, seems to be a lot of your fanbase. Guess I'm used to the negatigers.

I’m just saying, considering what could have happened as a result of Schloss leaving, Aggie came out relatively unscathed. Let’s face it, had Scloss been liked by his team there might have actually been the player exodus horn was praying for

He is.

Not sure about one of the best, but he’s darn good.

Weiner was the best pitching coach in the country

That hasn’t changed either (apart from the knowledge we now have that the pitching staff weren’t his biggest fans).

None of those realities mean there aren’t other quality coaches out there, nor do they imply an incompatibility with the Ags being successful now.

As far as players go, yes.

As far as coaches, are you straight up trading any of the guys you had last year for the ones you have now, if given the option?

Players follow position coaches far more than head coaches. Head coaches don't interact with individual players on a daily basis except in specific circumstances (like Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams).

People overblow players following head coaches way too much.

I always thought this conspiracy theory where coaches and players were going to Texas en masse was rather far fetched.

I think Schloss wanted to go to Texas because of the AD situation and wanted to give his guys a guaranteed landing spot, they probably spoke to some kids like Grahovac on the way out the door but I doubt they were actively recruiting them to Texas. Far too risky.

I don't think these guys were ever out to bury A&M, Schloss just wanted to work with his buddy instead of Alberts for some reason.

And?

I didn't think most of those players were going to Texas.
