The ‘Cam’ part was literally the only substantive part of that quote worth addressing.

So says you, so that must be true, however it cannot be because you made up some stupid proposition that I allegedly did. So, I am going to assume you are pretending to be obtuse.

Is 24 points the same as 28? Nah. Is 2010 relevant to 2024 nah. Is our national title team comparable to Georgia's current squad? Maybe not.

Then the rest was just backtracking where you tried to compare different era’s of the respective coaches (Saban’s prime years versus Kalen’s third game).
I mean if you want to claim Kalen has his training wheels on I will allow you to do so. Considering Kalen's defense last year was trash, you should tell me what is going to be Kalen's norm.

Imagine two scenarios:

(a) up 28 to up 7 (21 point delta in win)
(b) up 24 to down 1 (25 point delta in loss)

Your ‘point differential’ argument claims that (a) is worse than (b). I am simply pointing out that this argument is retarded. There’s really nothing else that needs to be said on this point.

Everything else is you just trying to move the goal posts after you unequivocally said this:

quote:

Saban would not have allowed that huge comeback

The above, as we have discussed, is not accurate.

Kirby Smart just cannot beat Alabama.

In other words he beats team that usually does not have similar talent.=

I do think the 2010 Iron Bowl and the game tonight had some similarities. That pass that the TE bobbled on a delay route up the seam that ended up getting picked was very similar to the Ingram fumble off that long screen pass run. If Alabama got up 35-7 before halftime, I think that would've been the knock out blow. Similarly if Alabama finished out that drive v. Auburn then that Iron Bowl was over. Both were sorta fluky, lucky, whatever you want to call it but they were huge plays for the opponent that kept them in it. Sometimes you just want to get to halftime without being so far down that the math ain't mathing for a comeback. Those turnovers did that for Auburn in 2010 and UGA in 2024.

Luckily, Beck might've looked like Superman in the 2nd half but he's no Cam Netwon (actually just Superman in college football).

2010 Iron Bowl in TTown. Bama had a huge lead and first half domination. Cam Newton led Aubie to a 2nd half win. Devestating for us. Quite the game to witness.

I also remember a game against Ole Miss (in Jackson I believe) decades ago where they had a 21-0 lead over us early. We stopped them cold and ended up winning big.

Bama has a first year HC, had a lot of talent leave in the portal after Saban retired, and is loaded with starting freshmen. You bet your arse we feel good about this win. We are only going to get better from here.

He also wouldn't have been ahead by 28 points.
He was ahead of Auburn by 24, and Ingram was heading into the end zone, when they lost to Cam Newton.
