Would have to be a domed stadium. I would like this idea once UT and OU are in.
Atlanta, NOLA, Nashville (new stadium), Houston. Absolutely no other choices.

The issue with Nashville is it’s an open stadium. Weather would likely play a factor at that point in the year. Just doesn’t seem right to allow that for a championship game.
New dome stadium by 2026.

Atlanta, New Orleans, Nashville, Biloxi would all be viable options as far as distance for teams. Not sure if this has been discussed but definitely something worth looking into.
If you take it out of Atlanta the ACC will move in and give them an every year commitment.
If you are willing to lose Atlanta, then that's fine, but Atlanta will not be available.

About once a week. Other than that nobody has brought it up.

I posted this in a SECCG thread a few weeks ago, and I stand by it.

Rotate between NFL domes in the SEC footprint. Dallas, Houston, NO, Atlanta, etc. The SECCG has been a home game for UGA and located in the eastern division for a long time. It's time to start changing it up....

Offer them one every 4-5 years. frick the ACC. They can go back to Tampa that year.

The game has been there for going on 30 years. It’s always sold out. Atlanta is and has been the ideal place for the game. It’s not moving any time soon. The West has won 17 games, the East 12 games. It’s hardly an advantage. Nobody complained that the SEC champ has largely played in The Louisiana Super Dome for the Sugar Bowl for decades.

Already making excuses?

Atlanta does such a good job with the game.
New Orleans would be a shitty option. I would say Nashville could be a legit alternative once their new stadium is built.

I don’t think UGA would mind playing LSU in New Orleans this year. Didn’t seem to bother FSU.

It's only an elephant in the room for LSU fans.

As far as that game goes:
I’m a Florida fan. Every year we’ve won the SEC was because we were the better team. Every year Alabama, Georgia, or LSU has won its because they were the best team. The fact it’s in Atlanta doesn’t matter. You’re already making excuses for your team which is sad.

If Biloxi - then Foley has every right to be in the rotation. They too have a very good high school stadium.

To be fair, when they set up an SEC championship game the idea of UGA actually playing in it was remote.
And yet we have been there twice as many times asTennessee.

People keep putting Atlanta in the mix. Again. Atlanta would not be a part of the rotation. The ACC would take the week for their championship game.
It's fine if you don't mind losing Atlanta, but the SEC would certainly be out as an option. We get it. People say it is not problem to lose Atlanta. Fine. But people should stop putting it in as an option for a rotation.

Agreed.
Once the new titans stadium is built, everything a fan needs is right downtown within walking distance.
It’s perfect downtown and fan environment.
Plus it’s not a shithole like ATL or HOU.
Trip to airport is also 20 mins.

Atlanta is not a bad city all in all. It has a ton to do with Stone Mountain, Coca-Cola Museum, The College Football HOF, etc.
I am sure Nashville is a nice place....but be ready to have to drive there. The airport is small. The airlines, I'm sure would add some flights, but they only have so many slots, so the vast majority of the people would have to drive to the game.

Honest question. When is the last time you have been to Atlanta?

Just to give you some insight to the airports limitations? The Nashville airport has 40 gates. The Atlanta airport has 34 gates on each concourse of which there is "A", "B", "C", "D" and then the International Concourse.
The airport is not big enough, so be ready to drive.
