“Ryan Day is 1-7 against teams ranked in the top five of the College Football Playoff rankings, including a 1-3 mark in the CFP itself. The Buckeyes have lost games to a No. 12 Oregon team (at home), had three losses to Michigan in 2021 and 2022 and 2023 and very easily could have lost to Notre Dame this season if not for 1-yard touchdown on the game’s final play. While Day is lauded as an offensive-minded aggressive coach, that all seems to evade him when the opposition isn’t at a massive talent deficit “

….things should go a lot better for him with the conference merger.

Oregon

You guys had to crawl on hands and knees to Rosemont to beg for B1G membership. And when you were finally given the OK, you weren't even worth full revenue.

You are free to believe whatever you want, but this forum of fans would know better than to agree... if money was on the line. You'd be middle-upper tier, no doubt. But year in and year out, and over time (like all the rest of us have trudged through), you would be about like Auburn/UT, and maybe sometimes legitimately as good as LSU/UF on average. Again, consider the SEC since the 90's.

The difference is that when down the other teams raid their primary recruiting area. Ohio has a lot of talent that tOSU can lock down. Almost no other program can say that.

You wouldn't have to be embarrassed. You wouldn't be.

Man there's at least 4 teams in your division that would get arse pounded by Vandy.

We are blessed to be in the center of a rich fertile recruiting ground. We also like to recruit Florida and Texas.

Pretty bad record against SEC opponents in bowl games. 2-11 (or 12).

2 of those bowl losses were to Lou Holtz coached Gamecock teams, I believe.

It took an SEC coach (Urban Meyer) to actually get a legitimate bowl win against the SEC.

Maybe USCjr(everyone calls you that) should hire Meyer then maybe they might win something.

If you have to say “everyone calls you that”, they probably don’t call them that.
