And it all happened because Tim Tebow committed to Florida.
It had more to do with Miami passing on Drew Brees while he was coaching the Dolphins.

But maybe he would have had Mike Price still been head coach. It only makes sense that all of the blame for this lies on Alabama's credit card.

He’d still be great in nfl had he gone to another team, even after Miami.
Agreed. Had Miami signed Brees, Saban likely would have stuck it out at least one more year at Miami. I think getting overruled on who Miami signed as QB soured Saban on the whole situation. I think he realized he didn’t have the autonomy he needed to be successful, and that is why he bolted.
Alabama approached Saban, not the other way around, and begged him to take the job. They said he could have the keys to the car and drive it anyway he wanted. I don’t know if they even knew that Saban was unhappy in Mismi. Or that the reason he was unhappy was because he didn’t have control. It just so happened that Alabama showed up when they did offering the one thing Saban wanted, full control. If just one of several things breaks the other way; Tebow’s recruitment, Tyrone Prothro’s leg, Drew Brees shoulder, Miss Terry not liking Miami, Saban would not have ended up at Alabama.
And the SECrant would not exist.

In LSU’s first season post-Saban, they went 11-2 with a 40-3 assbeating vs a Top 10 ranked Miami in the Peach Bowl…
In Alabama’s first season post-Saban, they gave up 40 points in a loss to unranked Vanderbilt and finished 9-4 after losing to unranked Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl

What if Saban had never been born? Do that butterfly effect.

Excellent point. Maybe we need to send Destiny a thank you note.

Club patrons even began to refer to him as “coach.” Witnesses said that Price bought not only many drinks but also private dances from Lori “Destiny” Boudreaux, who had worked at the strip club for fifteen years. Price allegedly broke many of the club's rules during at least one of the dances
Lori “Destiny” Boudreaux. Wait… Boudreaux? Was LSU behind the “It’s Rolling Baby” scandal all along?
I do give Mike Price credit for going down in a ball of flames.

Former Alabama football coach Mike Price said he was "too drunk to really know" what happened at a topless bar in Florida on the night that ultimately led to his firing, The Birmingham News reported Wednesday.

LSU has only one national championship in football, from back in 1958.

Tim Tebow’s closeted homosexuality would have blossomed in Tuscaloosa

I bet after that night with Destiny they were both burning. What if Fleming hadn’t discovered penicillin in 1928? That is a whole new wormhole.

At least he kept it in the closet. Meanwhile, over in Auburn…

If 9/11 never occurred then Saban likely doesn't win the 2001 SEC Championship.

Michigan wasn't hiring Miles either. That business with him and Gary Moeller's wife made him some powerful enemies in Ann Arbor.

No he wouldn't have.
As the picture above shows, Cam Newton clearly did dress up as a fairy and take pictures with his boyfriend on Auburn’s practice field.

LSU had to score in the final minute to avoid an even worse beatdown.

Interesting that you have this picture saved on your computer. What’s the file name? Daddy.jpeg?

An interesting take.
You could also say that it is all Mike Shula's fault. Mal Moore really was not looking to fire him after the 2006 season, but he knew that changes were definitely called for and told Shula that he had to get rid of Dave Rader as the OC. Shula, inexplicably, refused. That forced Mal's hand, and the rest is history.

Is that you to the right? I always wondered who that was.
