All I can say about Petrino is that he flunked the LSU interview in 2004 to replace Saban.
Apparently he pissed off those on the search committee in addition to coming off as an arrogant, classless individual. So glad we dodged that bullet.
His motorcycle mama might be considered as "hot" in Arkansas but it seemed to me she had a horse face.

This is straight out of the horse's arse (me) but I think this is how it all went down.
Boyfriend gets wind Petrino is banging his fiancé. He figures out when it is going down, and catches them meeting up, doing the deed, whatever. Boyfriend tells skank to get in the car, while Petrino is beating feet to his motorcycle.
Petrino may have just blew out of there, or he may have flapped his gums/gave the one finger salute to boyfriend as he left out. Enraged boyfriend chases him down with girlfriend in the car, runs Petrino off the road. Boyfriend stops, girlfriend gets out to check on sugar daddy, boyfriend realizes he just battered if not attempted to murder a millionaire, and the head coach of the Razorbacks, so he beats feet.
That's how girlfriend is on scene without a scratch, when the passer-by, and then trooper, stops.
Makes perfect sense to me.

Wasn't the HP involved? I thought that's how he got "caught" in the first place. This rumor isn't new -- it was being bandied about even back then -- but there was really little doubt that the wreck happened and was responsible for making the affair public. I can't see much benefit to Arkansas lying about the circumstances while acknowledging that Petrino was, in fact, carrying on with the woman. The PR backlash if people found out that Arkansas lied would have been significant, especially since the scandalous part, Petrino cheating on and with, was always freely admitted anyway. Does anyone really think "Petrino had affair, wrecked bike" is somehow more acceptable than "Petrino had affair, got arse kicked by wronged man"?
