Auburn has a NC more recently than Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia and Florida

OU/Tex/UF all have more though.

Big 1

If this is your "go to", then you're much more like Aggie than you want to admit.

What do you people think big 6 means?

Because i'm seeing a lot of posts all over this board that clearly show that a lot of people don't understand why the big 6 is the big 6.

I think everyone understands what the original definition of Big 6 was.

But the point is that in light of Tennessee being a complete joke for 23 years, it would seem prudent to immediately elevate OU to a position at the table seeing as it is a much better program.

Clearly not if you are talking about replacing somebody.

No harm in making OU win it first

So you understand how the big 6 is defined, yet you want to remove a member that qualifies by definition and replace them with a new member that does not qualify by definition?

Isn’t the original definition “teams that have won the SEC Championship” since expansion in 1992?

Why do we continue to abide by the 1992 benchmark when we’ve had expansion in 2012 and are about to have another expansion in the coming years?

Big 6 grows when someone new wins an SEC title.

If it gets too big (for example if A&M, Texas and OU all won), we should probably switch to national titles won in the SEC during the BCS/Playoff era.

So it's the 6 schools that have won an SEC title game? Or the 6 schools that have won the SEC since integration? Although I don't know about the last one since Kentucky won the SEC in the 70s.

Um, because none of the other teams have won an SEC title in 30+ years. Win one and that will change.

Big6 has nothing directly to do with championships. It’s always been the 6 prestige/power/influence/history players in the league

For those that aren’t aware, the Big6 - which is certainly not an “official” group - has always been:
-Bama
-Aub
-LSU
-UGA
-Florida
-Tennessee

Tennessee has certainly teetered on losing their Big6 VIP card over the last decade or so.

Are they not?
Who would you say are the "blue bloods" nationally?

So we revoked Ole Miss from discussion because they hadn’t won one since 1962, but Tennessee still gets to be considered for membership even though they haven’t done shite since 1998?

this aint changing until someone else can win the SEC title in football. Clearly Tennessee needs to get it's act together soon or they will fade away

Ole Miss won the SEC Title game in 1962? shite I didn't even know they played one back then. Guess you learn something new every day.
