They're #2, but it ain't by much

Not to mention we have something LSU does not. We have the longest NCAA tournament win-streak in NCAA history as well as the longest CWS win-streak in CWS history. Oh and those are both on going.

Also our 2 titles were in 2 different styles of baseball with the gorilla bat and the dead bat, which I think makes a back to back all the more impressive.

And as mentioned under Tanner we almost never do well in the SEC tournament, but for the most part its because we haven't had to. LSU seems to stress the importance of winning that thing and has used it to springboard their way into the NCAA tournament recently. Hell despite our lack of SEC tournament success we also have the longest current streak of making the NCAA tournament in the SEC going 12 for 12 this century.

LSU has 7 more CWS wins total and the same winning % as SC at .636 (according to wiki) which is among the highest of the top 10 CWS winning teams all time only outdone by So.Cal with a .740 winning %.

On top of that we also just reeled in the #1 recruiting baseball class.

No one is arguing that LSU isn't a clear #1, but I don't think there is as much distance as LSU fans believe.

I'm as unbiased as they come, but you would have to be a freaking idiot to not put Auburn in the top three in basketball.

Ya'll keep up the support and Tanner keeps doing his thing and we may be looking over our shoulder sooner than later in Bayou Country

He's the best thing that's happened to USC Athletics by far. I'm just hoping he's still coaching in 10 years. Looking forward to that last series in May when you boys come to town

How many undefeated seasons, SEC titles or appearances, and NC titles and or appearances does Alabama have since 92? And how many does Auburn have?

Undefeated Seasons- Auburn 3, Bama 2
SEC titles- Bama 3 out of 7, Auburn 2 out of 4
NC- Bama 2 for 2, Auburn 1 for 1
Bama- 163-76 record
Auburn- 160-70 record

Bama had more hardware but I would say Auburn was more consistent.

Edge goes to Bama.

Oxymoron.

I don't know of any free ones. You can go to their rivals free board, post one thing of smack before you get "blacklisted" as I was so make it good.

Yeah I think you can make a case for Miss State at # 3 in baseball & basketball.

Tigernet.com is the best one.

If you register you can change the way the board reads. Still a bit confusing since replies are directly under the post they are replying to, but you get used to it. They're a testy bunch though. I asked if they would rather have Michigan and they blasted me and SC.

Defensive bunch.

Does anyone outside of USC think it is close?

JW and no disrespect is intended. It just seems as obvious to me in baseball as in football

#1 in football since 1992: Florida >> #2

#1 in baseball since 1992: LSU >> #2

Yeah that is really close. I'd have to give the edge to Alabama because of hardware, plus this season going to another NC. Man I didn't realize Alabama was only 3 for 7 in SECCGs. It's awesome to get there but that isn't a good ratio there. The state of Alabama has been kicking arse though

Most of the Gamecock fans are arguing that it's not close, but it's not as distant as LSU fans are making it out to be.

LSU is the CLEAR #1. No doubt. In fact I'd give LSU #2 also.

We're just hot on your heels.
