Auburn has had the same problem since the late 70's. They let the inmates run the asylum. Until they tell the boosters to sit in their box and keep writing checks and STFU nothing will change.

You are missing the most critical fact, auburn is a cult of people with unresolved childhood issues that throws butt wipe into trees. They'll hire any low life to get ahead and they only live to try and bring down Bama.

Hes competing with top teams after being left in a very bad situation.
Auburn's hate for Bama is why they choose Gus Malzhan. They could have had Kirby Smart in 2012 (end of the year so for the 2013 season) but they refused to wait on him to finish out his season in the National Title Game.
So, he went to Georgia in 2015 and Auburn has been in the dumps ever since, yes Gus got them to a title game in 2013, via luck against Georgia, and other games and a total rip job by the refs vs. Bama. He was better than what they hired, but Gus is an average coach.
