Embarrassing. The Cock-Aggy war brought this board to new lows

How did Arkansas get here? They've had really serviceable OLs these past few years. A few bonafide stars up front. I think of Arky as a good program for OL.

Is Morris going to try to play up tempo on offense this year? I assume so. If the defense is your strength this year, that could turn out poorly. If the offense struggles behind a weak O-Line, that defense will get worn down quickly.

Exactly. It's not like we have 5 stars at every position like bama.

We had a very decent OL until a couple of years ago Bielema decided to hire someone with little college experience and no connections to our recruiting area to coach our Offensive Line.

The OL has been so bad the last two years Austin Allen should consider suing Bielema for putting him in harm's way. Honestly, the beating he took over the last two years has left that kid damaged goods going into pro career.

We are going to be pretty bad this year up front again.

John Stephen Jones, a freshman QB and grandson to the gent who owns the Cowboys, might see some playing time because he has excellent pocket mobility from what I've seen. Yes, the dreaded, well he might be able to dart around enough back there that he won't get killed.

skyfall,

Texas A&M talking smack? You will be mediocre again even if you beat Arkansas for the seventh straight time!

They weren't bad with Kirkland, Skipper, Ragnow and Tretola but were still inconsistent and couldn't do much against the better teams. They got a ton of hype for being the biggest OL in college football but we struggled to convert in short yardage nearly all of Bielema's tenure here.

The OL the last two years was the worst I've seen at Arkansas and that was with a 1st round pick at Center.

This guy is probably (imho) the most important coach on the UGA staff. We have not had a decent OL in decades until he got here.

OL is going to be a big problem unless some of the guys with no experience like Merrick and Capps turn out to be amazing. We have a few young QBs that have good wheels, there's some reason to believe Morris is looking for one of them to come in as a change of pace QB. I'm guessing that has a lot to do with OL concerns, maybe wanting to have an option other than CK standing in the pocket against some of the more talented defensive lines.

Im really curios as to what the ceiling could be for this offensive line. I still remember the immediate impact Gibson had when first plugged in late mid season 2 years ago and how perplexed I was that we hadnt seen him before then.
