There has to be a reason Ole Miss didn't fall off the planet.
Lane is a very good coach and the decision to bring him to Baton Rouge was not to win in September of year 1. Was Saturday disappointing? Sure, but it is extremely short sighted to think it means anything about the long term health of either programs.
Eventually, Pete is going to have to build his own roster instead of just retaining talent and he will not have a heisman QB to lean on. I'd wait until he shows he can do that before running my mouth too much but by all means enjoy the win.

Pete brought in 51 new players this year, and retained the Heisman qb and Rb as well as dozens of others that LSU went after hard. I would say he retained the talent.

Overreacting to a home game that Ole Miss has been focused on for months is certainly a choice.

We don't think of OM on the 3rd page of the tread full of LSU fans talking about OM.. You havent beat us in over 800 days in a sport you care about, maybe you should start thinking about them.

Everyone but Chambliss, Alexander, and Lacy were recruited by people that stayed. And when the choice came in the portal they all chose to stay. So they were built by Pete.

LSU had to have one of OM and A&M, with the latter being more important. And they also need one of AL and TX.
