That's the way the cookie crumbled this season due to Sumlin's last recruiting class, and who didn't leave early.

We have had one or two high profile OL recruits leave/kicked off team. Two or three that didn't pan out. Injuries...

It's year 4 for Jimbo.

Titboss is in year 2 and Arkansas had been a disaster for years.

shite, y'all struggled to score 10 on a Colorado team that just got spanked by a terrible Arizona team (speaking of Sumlin's aftermath).

The aggies will inevitably lose their second in a row come Saturday night. May the meltdown begin.

I'm explaining why the current state of the oline is the way it is.

5 star Chris Morris (kicked off team)
4 star Luke Matthew's (from legendary
Football family) has played very
little and always injured.

He's got a lot of freshman and sophomores playing on Oline. On the other side, just about every DE or DT that was highly rated has panned out nicely and plays as a freshman or sophomore. That's on top of some studs on defense that decided not to leave early.

The oline needs to be reevaluated in 3 or 4 weeks

Calzada is just raw material but very rough around the edges.
Raw material as a redshirt sophomore? Jimbo has had two full years with the kid. Where is his development? You need to hold Jimbo more accountable for this. There’s no excuse for this failure. We heard all last year how y’all couldn’t wait to get rid of Mond and the new guys were so much better. Maybe the problem is the guy evaluating and training these guys.

But I will say it’s been cool to finally meet a normal person who’s an Aggie fan for once. You seem like a decent dude. I would suggest pressure be put on Jimbo to bring some innovation on offense and someone who knows how to develop QBs for modern offenses. Because Jimbo is just not cutting it. We as LSU fans are all to familiar with this situation. And you’re stuck with him, so yeah.

Or just keep going down this road. Yeah, forget what I said.

Yes, Calzada is a redshirt sophomore. He's not developed because his first start was this year, game 2.

A&M's offense scores a lot more points in the 2nd half than it does the first. Last season Calzada got very little in game experience. Because he was 3rd string and our offense by design is not to score a lot due to the clock being eaten. This hurts other players getting playing time IMO

I was a big fan of Mond. Not his politics, but a huge fan of his as a player (last season)

A loss in football shouldn't bother all these A&M fans as much as it does, but here we are. You learned about it from us because we're all laughing our asses off at it and making sure everyone else is in on the joke, too.

I would have taken it as him being a leader and trying to keep the troops confident.

That's one way to take it. Another way to take it is he's soothing a hurt ego and trying to make it seem like the the cards just didn't fall in their favor that day, rather than being beaten straight up. Penalties aren't RNG that rain from the sky. Your own team causes them. Part of being good is not choking like that. The leader part was when he said "we just got to move on," but he could have said that without making it known that if they didn't do all the things that made them lose, they would have won.

i hate the longhorns but i give credit where it is earned. when we beat them, they looked inward and were critical of their coach and players. they were critical of the scheme. they didnt make excuses. they owned it and didnt stop looking anyone in the eye.

something else they deserve credit for... they warned us about aTm when they joined the sec, and every single warning has turned out to be true. aTm has a severe inferiority complex and their insecurity plays out every season in glorious fashion.

jimbo has already peaked but he still has years to prove it.

The greatest win Aggie history was the 74-72 made for TV upset. Never forget. Those stadium cups are like currency, paintings were made and they will keep it alive by telling future generations how that game meant absolutely nothing but it was real to them, damn it! :cryingwrestlingfangif:

I can't wait until the SEC sticks them in a pod with Oklahoma and Texas.

It’s nice to hear decent, objective analysis from outside the fanbase instead of trolling. I’ll copy/paste and send Jimbo an email, lol.

But we’ll have to see how this season goes.
This game was a red flag, so I’m curious to see if we get the same ole story from here on out.

A&M was in a world of hurt when King went out with injury. No doubt about that. Also have had injuries across the OL and WR's as well. So you put a generally terrible QB behind a line with true fish and RS freshmen, and this is what you get - a putrid offense

The sad thing is that there is "nothing" behind King until next year. And that is Fisher's fault.
