You know who was 9-3 against South Carolina and won a national championship?
So, if you take that 9-3 away, the SEC would be 25-17 against the ACC? Thanks for proving my point.

Yawn. Vols 2-0 vs ACC during this era and 36-15 overall.

quote:that was the USC/Tater series record while Dirty Danny was cheating his way (NCAA on Pickens campus twice in 4 seasons) to wins and probation between 1978-89. it doesn't apply to the "CFP era" SEC/ACC record against one another. DBGF was responding to my post about Pickens shunning Ford when he was pleading for his old job back after getting fired by Arkansas.
So, if you take that 9-3 away...
just for fun, here's another fact on records - since FSU joined the ACC they still hold a 21 game advantage over Pickens Tech, with 10 more conference titles.
168-48 / 15 conference titles
147-69 / 5 conference titles (all since 2011)

Just wanted to let ya'll know. I've been hearing a lot of the usual conference BS from the local mutt and chicken population lately.
The fact that you have to come here to "validate" your team and your conference screams out loud dude !

Where are you getting these numbers and what year are they from?
In 2018 FSU and Louisville finished at the bottom of the Atlantic Division. Florida finished 2nd and Kentucky finished 3rd in the SEC East. UGA is clearly the best team in the East while GT is routinely middle of the pack in the ACC Coastal and it's like that pretty much every year.
So the only game on rivalry weekend that a top ACC team is playing a bottom feeder from the SEC is when Clemson faces South Carolina.

The fact that you continue to tout your conference given the results on the field is pathetic.

Wow, acc does suck outside Clemson

Come on dude. Seriously?
Since 2000 here is the breakdown in National Championships by Conference:
SEC-10 (4 different teams)
ACC-3 (Two different teams)
Big 10-2 (1 team)
Big12-2 (Two teams)
Big east-1 team
PAC 12- 1 team (Vacated)
SEC had a string of 7 NC's in a row.
One year two SEC teams played for the National Championship.
Are you saying the SEC is not as good as advertised?
When the ACC wins 7 NC's in a row come back and talk to us. Just because Clemson is on a roll (And they are on a great roll, no doubt) don't get the big head and think you are soething you are not. The SEC is still king until the ACC or some other conference figures out a way to win 7 in a row by 4 different teams. Shoot, just win 7 in a row....then you can talk about how equal the ACC is to the SEC.
I'll be shocked if any conference matches what the SEC has done over the last 19-20 years.

I was told those numbers are not correct....but your overall assessment is correct.

Much of that is because teams higher in the ACC have been playing teams toward the middle of the SEC or lower. FSU vs UF (overall ACC #2 vs SEC #7) Clem vs SC (overall ACC #1 vs SEC #8) Louisville vs UK. (overall ACC #4 or 5 vs SEC #11) Most of these years those ACC teams were much higher in the ACC power hierarchy than the SEC teams. 28-26 is very misleading.
Some truth there - but Clemson has also played upper tier SEC past few years including Bamax4, Auburn x2 and soon to be aTm x 2. LSU is on the clock.

There is no truth to that at all. It’s a false talking point. Clemson is the only ACC squad that gets to regularly beat up on an SEC door mat.
Posted on 6/29/19 at 6:28 pm to DawgsLife
We’re talking about recent history here pal. If you want to brag about titles won by Florida over a decade ago don’t make excuses about them being a weak SEC team when it comes to their losing 7 of the last 9 to FSU.

Bama had players suspended before the game, but the reason was never known. Wanna know why no one is asking about Bama like they are Clemson? Bc Clemson won
It was probably weed because AFAIK they aren't suspended for a year.

ACC #1 Clemson vs SEC #12 SC
ACC #2 FSU vs SEC #5 UF
ACC #7 UL vs SEC #10 UK
SEC #2 UGA vs ACC #8 GTU
Thats a big ACC advantage overall, which really skews the numbers.

Yeah, LSU should schedule ACC powerhouse teams the way Bammer does like...Clemson and Florida State
Fixed it for you.

Y'all can call us an SEC doormat if it makes you feel special, but per S&P we were also the second best team on your regular season schedule in 2018. Texas A&M was first. That's fricking pathetic

You also got smacked by a Virginia team that lost 4 ACC games
Posted on 6/29/19 at 9:54 pm to cyclingout
Yes, I am familiar with that game. Unclear on why clemson people seem so obsessed with it, we played like shite and got beat. It's the fricking Belk Bowl who cares? We lost to UConn in a Papa John's bowl where they ran out of pizza once, would you like to talk about that too?

Virginia has the best defense in the acc apparently
