The A&M-LSU rivalry

I admit that when the A&M-LSU game was added to rivalry weekend, I thought it seemed a little forced. Kind of an “oh, these schools are from border states, we’ll match them up because they ought to hate each other” sort of thing. And though there was a little back-and-forth on the board here, and both sides paid some lip service to how the game used to mean something a long time ago, it was nothing particularly noteworthy.
But you know, after this weekend I think this thing may have some legs. I’m glad to see such a heartfelt, bona fide hatred developing between the two fanbases. It really warms my heart. Hate on, haters!

I dont consider aTm a rival. I dont really care too much when we play them. LSU has no rivals. No matter how many fake arse times the SEC tries to invent one.
So not a rivalry.
So not a rivalry.

A tight, seven overtime game can certainly help jumpstart it.

Wouldn't it be great if we did the same to the gumps next year?

Our only true rivals in the sec are ole miss and moo state. But they have each other so we has nobody :(

The LSU/Arky game was forced when they joined. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, LSU playing A&M was a big deal and a great way to start the season. If you live in the Houston area, there is a rivalry between the two and it’s funny that many don’t won’t to admit it.

I never have been around aggies. My brother in law lived in League City for a time and he said they are obnoxious like Ole Miss, but I dont think that makes for a rivalry.

LSU has no rivals because as soon as one develops, y’all run away.

If you wont call it a rivalry, it's definitely a blood feud because we know swamp kitties will be seething for the rest of their lives about it

A&M has no rivals because we have no equals.

Whoa there, little buddy. Did you not see the script A beside my name? Aren't you supposed to get me a beer and ask to suck my dick?

We do not have a rival.

Aggies by and large seem to be decent people. But, no, LSU is not their rival. Texas is, and always will be, A&M's rival. Leaving big brothers shadow doesn't change that.
