No one gives a shite about your respect, nerd.

Another day, another load of crap from the coattail riders in Austin.

This list is terrible.

I'd rather talk underrated rivalries like TCU/Baylor for instance. That's some old school underrated SWC hate.

This takes away from the rivalry. Nothing better than going into your rivals house and leaving with a W

I haven't seen one fight break out in any of those 7 years, and almost no arguments even. These teams may not like each other, but I feel like they don't get as "down and dirty" about it as other rivalries. I'm not saying it should be 9th, but OSU/Michigan and Auburn/Bama seem like fans legitimately would kill each other if they wouldn't go to jail. OU/Texas seems far more civil

Carolina/Clemson has resulted in many deaths, it's resulted in the school pulling guns on each other, and many brawls. It's an underrated rivalry...definitely better than the red river crap

A true "rivalry" is when both teams are historically good, its fairly even on the series, there is hatred on both sides, and for bonus points its played at a neutral site (double bonus points if its split 50/50 the way Texas OU is).

Half those games above are not true rivalries. Which is why Texas vs OU will stay a rivalry unless ATM starts winning at historic clip the decade they lost the Texas vs ATM game lost all momentum of the rivalry. Its special and fun but to be a true rival you have to respect your opponent, Texas fans do not respect ATM. They will win but by and large Texas will always have the advantage. Same is not said for Texas vs OU if anything OU is admittedly by this Longhorn the better program.

Stupid post of the day. Rivalries are simply about hate. That is it

This is a fair assessment...

However, old school Oklahoma-Texas... before they organized Commerce Street and finally cancelled it... That weekend made any other rivalry look civil. I think in the '60s they had a few years where 600+ people got arrested. People fighting all over the place. Throwing furniture out of hotel windows.

Now days everybody is well behaved because there is no central location for the party on Friday... there are too many cops in the fair... and the tickets are too expensive to miss the game because you got arrested.

That’s because you moved there after the West End was the place to be that weekend. I spent 2009 in the drunk tank that weekend and made it to the stadium for the 2nd quarter. Things have gotten a lot more civil than back then, I will grant you.

Legitimately didn't know this was considered a big rivalry still. UCLA has all but given up on football

USC vs Notre Dame is a much bigger rivalry than USC/UCLA, this list is silly.

Unpopular opinion that nobody wants to say: Army-Navy is not a fun game. People keep placing it on a pedestal because it’s our service academies. The game is boring, the offenses are archaic, the players are undersized, and the peak of the game was in 1960. I guess it’s ok to watch on what is essentially a bye week, but it has no business being in the top 5.

It should be #1. We play for the love of the game. No NIL, (most times) no playoff implications, no draft issues. We can go winless but if we beat Army, it’s been a good season. And the same goes for Army. THIS is what this game means.

Josh Heupel vs 72 ounce steak meal at Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo.

Josh is still carrying many free steak dinners in his gut.
