You disagree that UGA was fortunate in its missing Bama, getting Oregon with a season opener in Atlanta with a 1st game coach and QB? They were a different team later in the season and in Oregon. The list of fortune breaks in scheduling that contributed to UGAs being given a spot for the 1st title and for them to earn the second spot was profound.

Bottom line is a walk on, who left and went to JC, and then transferred back and didn't graduate beat the holy piss out of UT everytime he played them.

Then went on to win two NCs while being the MVP of every single Playoff game far more that Manning ever did in college and is now in the nfl.

Stetson raped your soul buddy....

They were a different team because they weren't playing UGA.

Let's not forget at the end of the year Oregon lost to UW at home and Oregon State on the road. They barely beat UNC in their bowl game.

UGA beat TCU, the #2 team that year, 65-7 in the last game of the season. Thinking the result between UGA and Oregon would be vastly different based on the time of the game or the location is just wishful thinking on your part.

Did UGA play Bama? No. But they played the two teams that beat Bama and beat them by 14 and 20 points respectively. Bama also had several close wins (at Texas, at Ole Miss, home vs A&M). More realistic viewpoints would be that Bama lucked out in not facing UGA rather than the reverse in that season.

The dude will do anything to avoid a real discussion on recent uga football dominance. Nothing but empty nonsense followed by running away.

Your defensive front 7 had walkons play prominently in it?

Not only is this an irrational explanation for uga’s explosive offense, but it is also unoriginal.

Irrational would be believing UGAs offense operates in a vacuum. Irrational is instead of being happy with Kirby’s system and success wanting to pretend it’s something it’s not. Irrational is treating collegiate football like a video game. Irrational is confirmation bias as a starting point when evaluating a situation.

1. Depth just isnt something that is going to wear a team down early in game, so that doesn’t explain first half explosion I am talking about.
2. I guess it could explain explosion in the 4th q, but that’s when uga kills clock, so that doesn’t work for you either.

You dont understand the concept of garbage time. All those video games you have played failed you.

I know, he is obsessed with UGA, but keeps getting proved wrong over and over. All he does is deflect and run away.

This thread is doing a great job of proving that.

Do you believe that football players are more or less academically qualified as their non athlete peers? If less, ask yourself how they graduate at such high rates at these “difficult” schools.

Why can’t y’all be happy with reality? Kirby’s system of stacking depth on the front 7 and out depthing teams works with a favorable schedule to the point of winning a couple of championships. Why insist on the delusional assumption that a below average QB was the reason for the system’s success?

It’s an honest question.
