He won't get $10mill from us (more like 7-8), but that guy has 4 MNCs. Aggy is paying Sumlin like a guy who has won something and not been a middle of the road SEC team.

Take it to the Big 12 board.

Mizzou's school president issued an almost immediate reply to Jim Delany's press conference about adding a 12th team. That's what started it all and it caught everybody off guard. Should it have knowing that Mizzou had been looking longingly at the Big 10 for 80 years?
I would love to see the quote where this happened...but it didn't. The governor of the State said something to that effect, but nobody at Mizzou ever said anything; hell we tried to get things back on the right track by talking equitable revenue sharing and some other damage control when Nebraska left. But those overtures were not returned, so Mizzou said screw it, let's go somewhere where we don't have to apologize for wanting more than table scraps.
The only thing I'll feel bad about when the B12 finally blows up is Iowa State. Those guys are a lot like Mizzou, culturally and historically, but because they've got another major university in their state and no major population centers they're probably going to be on the outside looking in. I would have thought the same thing about Baylor but they've done awfully well for themselves lately.

He is? Who wants him? Sumlin has been weighed and measured and found to be wanting.

Don't be ashamed to admit it. It's ok we know that your in pain even though you will never admit it. I mean paying off a coaches bad debt offering him a piece of your shitastic tv network and stupid amounts of money just so you can possibly beat Baylol again bless your hearts.

I won't ask for a link because you don't have one. The reason that everyone knew the conference was unstable was because of UT's attitude towards everyone else in the conference. If B1G didn't know (like every conference in America) that y'all sucked, B1G wouldn't have sent out any bat signals.
Sorry that we didn't want to stick around to be another Stockholm syndrome victim.

So I am gonna ignore the tsip troll, and I think everyone should too. Go back to Shaggy troll, I am sure someone there will buy your "everyone who left the Big 12 did it because Texas was TOOOO successful" talking point.
On to real conversation:
Actually that isn't a guarantee. I know A&M hasn't done better, but honestly Texas is the most overrated program in America. Only two of their coaches have won national titles, and prior to 2005 it was a long time since their last one.
They should crank them out, but the problem is that Texas's coach is handicapped to hell. They can't just recruit and coach well, they have to appease big donors, play local politics, "run a clean program," etc. Before the job is taken there is already a mountain of baggage to overcome.
That is honestly why I am not scared about Saban to Texas. It is just as likely to blow up as succeed. That roster might be full of four stars, but it is also full of entitled pussies that have lived in a bubble. One the Nicky "process" starts half will quit, which will bring the big donors down on Nicky. Heck I bet from the beginning they will try to handcuff Nicky (no grey shirts, or abusing medical redshirts for political reasons), which basically ruins how he rebuilds programs.
Long story short, much like us Aggies they are their own worst enemy. But while we are trying to pull ourselves out of a century of failure, they seem happy to be the Boise St. of the major conferences.

The shame of it all is this though; They'll come out of the muck they've created smelling like a rose. They've got the money, the talent-base and the tradition - so this is nothing more than a blip on their snobby little egocentric radar.
