Your link (the credible one, at least) shows that the Pac-10 responded after the Big Ten already announced it would expand.
Like RIGHT after. And I have shown that it seemed like common knowledge that Larry Scott was brought in FOR expansion.
And as I pointed out JoePa said anything before anyone. Looks like he started the rape of the Big 12 if we go by your logic.

It was only strained because the Texas representatives had a rough flight. Has nothing to do with them talking to the PAC

Aggies tend to forget (even though I think one admitted it earlier in this thread) that every single issue of contention (partial qualifiers, moving the conference headquarters to Texas, heavy rotation of conf. football champ. game in Texas) were... wait for it....
ALL voted FOR by A&M. Right down the line.

What was the score of that Texas/Ole Miss game? I can't recall it off the top of my head.

No one can because no one was able to watch it on tv

Ah, the ol' timeline argument didn't work out so hot for you, so now it's on to the next Dodds talking point, right?
And your point is that A&M should have just kept voting like texas wanted and everything would be ok. Do you see how arrogant that is? Or are you really this ignorant?
What did you major in at texas? Obviously they failed in educating you

Yeah, and this proves....hmmm what was the point again?
Oh, yeah, that A&M MUST have been happy with the Big 12. But then something else MUST have happened changed for them to be weary of the Longhorns, what was that?

No we don't we are ashamed of ourseleves for that. I stated earlier yhat when we balked the rest of the conference relized they could too. Then Texas went all Texas on everybody and that's when those of us that could told y'all to kiss our asses and left thereby making you the big fish in a much smaller stinkier pond

Yes, we apologize, we forget sometimes what it was like on Masta Dodds Plantation:
Look we freely admit that we went along with some bad decisions. But, to quote a favorite sip line, we were only one vote. And more importantly, we were NOT the ones pushing for a team network.

The beleaguered conference made a rousing comeback Monday, when Texas declined an invitation to join the Pac-10 and decided to stay in the Big 12.
Because the PAC said no way to the LHN! And Texas still tried to extort money from the rest of the conference because they so magnanimously decided to stay - or that's how they tried to spin it. Those that were there knew better.
I will say this - I used to admire Texas' skillful use of the media to get their message out and spin it to their advantage. But this whole "fire-Mack-Brown-and-hire-Saban" deal is a shite show worthy of its own barnyard.

Yea we did some things we shouldn't have, but we weren't negotiating behind programs backs on their behalf with a new conference, and not on a tu/a&m exclusive network

Now that Saban has used and abused Texas like a pawn to get a better contract, who does Texas go after and miss out on next?
