Then you're a terrible business person or don't get how college athletics works in terms of money.

I'll leave it alone now.

it's really not about clout in this day and age. It's about what's best for the state of Texas. Athletics is marketing to the schools. The state needs Tech to increase its profile.

Plus Texas needs Tech politically to be able to cut off both Baylor and now TCU.

Bev Kearney's players she fricked would like to have a word with you.

Bev herself, now suing texas for $1 million for sex and race based discrimination might disagree with you.

That chubby chick Applewhite screwed while at a bowl game might have something to say.

What about that girl freak nasty sexually harasssed and cost your university $400k, think she has peace?

Yeah, peace off the field. HAH! Sounds like a bunch of lawsuits by an out of control athletic department.

Oh thank you for reminding me. I have been too focused on the gift called Mack Brown shitting on the carpet as his is forced out of his penthouse that I forgot that eventually we will get an embarrassing lawsuit as well.

Merry fricking Christmas fellow Texas haters.

Me don't hate all Texas schools, just the one in Austin. I have no prob with aTm, we walked virtually the same path to the SEC, I feel some kinship with them.

The rest of the Texas schools I could care less about....meh

Mizzou's school president issued an almost immediate reply to Jim Delany's press conference about adding a 12th team. That's what started it all and it caught everybody off guard. Should it have knowing that Mizzou had been looking longingly at the Big 10 for 80 years?

I would love to see the quote where this happened...but it didn't. The governor of the State said something to that effect, but nobody at Mizzou ever said anything

Mizzou would listen to Big Ten on expansion

December 15, 2009

With the release of a Big Ten statement on expansion expected any minute now, at least one school rumored to be a possibility for a 12th in the conference has said it’s all ears.

According to the Kansas City Star, Missouri Chancellor Brady Deaton confirmed that his school would be willing to listen if the conference wanted to talk Big Ten turkey.

“The University of Missouri has not been contacted by the Big Ten. Should there be an official inquiry or invitation, we would evaluate it based upon what would be in the best interest of MU athletically and academically.”

MISSOURI INTERESTED IN JUMPING TO THE BIG TEN

When University of Missouri officials talk about the Tigers' athletic future as it relates to the Big Eight, they use words like ``content'' and ``satisfied.'' They bring out the superlatives when that future is related to the Big Ten.

Missouri has been a longtime entrant in this derby, and the school has made it clear that it would jump at the opportunity to leave the Big Eight for the Big 10.

So Missouri ruined the Big 12's stability by NOT talking to the B1G in 2009?

So originally Big 8 main powers were Neb, Ou,Osu,Mizz,Iowa, Kan st and Ku Colorado and ....?

And texas came in with aTm,Baylor and texas tech.

Then when the merger happened , Ou turned away from tye big eight and voted firmly on anything Texas wanted because Texas gave them money to build bigger stadium and beautiful their schools (or stuff money in private banking accounts) I would assume st being the little brother of OU followed suit?

Did mizz bend knee? Was it really the commercial endorsement and money in the decision makers of the big 8 pockets to make them vote their way?

Was it all money that texas gave to the Big 8 Ad that putvthe big 12 in the hole they are now? Are they still looking for a handout from Texas?

When did Texas guy said "Don't get into a pissing match with texas, you'd lose." ?

Finally now that you guys traveled both to and away for your games to the SEC schools.

How is it? What is it like looking down and no longer seeing your regular opponent on the field?

To Mizz fans what was it like going to an sec championship game and the atmosphere there or at each se stadium about the same?

Same with ATM, how was it?

As far as the long horns network. Is it a success?

You're quoting things said 20 years ago? Before the Big 12 even formed?

Keep on moving those goalposts til you find something that works though. Thread = still delivering.

There is one real big fact that you're leaving out.

Missouri was up front with everybody. Missouri and a number of other former Big 8 schools were not happy with the direction of the conference.

Instead of working out those issues, Texas made a secret deal with Larry Scott to BLOW UP the conference and take half to the PAC.

You Texas fricks try to hide behind your own lies.

Really? Tell me with a straight face, which of the following destroys conferences.

Missouri looks at B10 because it's not happy.

Texas makes secret deal to take half of conference to PAC.

And the second to last link doesn't even show the full quote from a Mizzou official let alone the full article.

The last link has no comments from Mizzou officials. Again

It's great. The SEC is 10x the conference the Big 12 was. Just like posters have been saying, to maintain a school brand, you need to be playing good competition. That's where the SEC brand comes into play. The SEC brand is unfathomably better than the Big 12 brand. Mizzou will be able to recruit right in the middle of Big 12, Big 10, and SEC country with the best brand in college sports on their side.

Refreshing. MUCH better to look down and see us playing Vandy as opposed to baylor, LSU as opposed to Oklahoma State, and Bama as opposed to texas. No comparison. Wouldn't go back for the world.

If your point is mizzou wanted out for a while well you got us. When you joined the big 8 we didn't know you, held no ill will, and thought a big name program would be good for the conference. It wasn't long before we loathed you, and wasn't long after that we had to get away from you. Best thing we ever did. We happy now, how bout you?

But don't worry we understand. Every program that comes into contact with you hates you because they are just a bunch of texas haters. It's not you that has the problem, it's the rest of the world that has the problem. It's not that you are are abusive it's all those crazy bitches that you can't help but hook up with.
