I’ve been waiting since we got shipped to Corvallis last year... baseball is the best. Don’t care what anyone says.

I love baseball. Always have. When my family and I moved to the U.S. from Germany in 2001, baseball was the first sport I remember passionately watching. I never played baseball as a kid, but have always been fond of the game. My parents never got into it, but I'll chalk it up to them growing up in Belarus and being raised on soccer and hockey.

In fact, my parents had never seen a baseball game on TV until we moved to the U.S., much less in person. It truly is an American pastime.

Ha, no, but good guess... My parents left the USSR for East Germany in '85, moved to West Germany in '90 (shortly before reunification), and settled in Stuttgart until moving to the U.S. after I was born. So I was born a Süddeutscher Snob in Baden-Württemberg. Aber ich bin nicht kein Deutscher... I'm ethnically Belarussian

Cheers. Hoping this is the year for the Braves. My second team (Padres) is finally taking baseball serious. Can't wait for late night west coast baseball. Might be moving back to Atlanta, and kinda stoked to see live Braves again.
