Both teams have shown they can lay an egg. Depends on which versions show up

This is the correct answer, although Georgia’s offense is much more suspect than Texas.

I'd imagine Georgia wins again. Texas is good, but Georgia is better and has been tested much more. Now, I've seen the way Sark can scheme in a big game and it's impressive, but Texas doesn't currently have the offensive skill talent that he had at Bama.

Didn't you guys play the bottom 6 teams in the sec? You might want to wait a while before talking shite

Where's the 17 going to come from? 2 pick sixes and a Ewers fumble? You should hope so. Because Texas defense is going to eat you up.

There are a lot of bad takes in this thread, but this might be the worst.

In the last three games Beck has thrown for 941 yards, with 11 TD's and no ints.

Ewers have thrown for 585 yards, with 5 TD's and 1 int.

Who has regressed again??

Beck has to have one of the biggest home/away differences for a QB in a long time.

On the road (4 games)

85/146 (58%), 240 YPG, 3 TD, 7 INT (only one game was over 200 yards passng... that being Bama where he had over 400 and all of his TD's along with 3 of his picks).

At home (only looking at the 4 P5 games):

112/160 (70%), 336 YPG, 12 TD, 2 INT.

Neutral (2 games)

48/73 (66%), 294 YPG, 4 TD, 3 INT.

Texas got road Beck the first match up (175 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT).

Now they'll get neutral site Beck... which will be probably more like 290 yards, 2 TD and 1-2 INT.

That isn't that spectacular, but it's better than what they faced the first time.

And how did we get those short fields again? Moron

Defense is a part of football.

I don't think all these low-T soyboy fans of today even watch defense. Remember the days when fans took pride in their defense?

This immediate gratification generation just wants each final score to be 100-98. Fans suck today.

Ewers on the other hand hasn't been as clear cut like Beck.

Beck's sucked on the road and been good at home.

But Ewers has had sub 225 yard passing games at home (UGA, UK) at a neutral site (OU) and on the road (A&M and Arkansas).

He's only topped 300 one time this year (at home vs UF).

Ewers has been consistent this year. He's been consistently "meh".

As play continued during the season, and we all found out that some of these teams weren't as strong as initially thought, the narrative changed to Texas hasn't played anybody, or not a real SEC schedule.

Which teams underperformed? Everyone knew Michigan was going to be a mess this year with the mass departure of talent and coaching (people were upset they opened the season ranked). Oklahoma? No one thought OU was going to be good this year without a QB.

Colorado St - lolz (8-4)
Michigan - no qb, no harbaugh (7-5)
UTSA - lolz (6-6)
LA Monroe - lolz (5-7)
Miss St - lolz (2-10)
Oklahoma - had already been beaten down by Tenner/ zero offense (6-6)
Georgia - real comp destroyed you
Vandy - 3pt win (6-6)
Florida - No Lagway (7-5)
Arkansas - lolz (6-6)
Kentucky - lolz (4-8)
A&M - they are who we thought they were (8-4)

Who the hell looked at that schedule in July and thought yall would lose more than a game? 2 losses, with that schedule, would have been an embarrassment to your program.

UGA has played a comparable defense to Texas this year. That team was named... Texas. UGA scored 30 points against them and won by 15 on the road.

This game is at a neutral site.

So the answer would be... the same place the 30 points in the first game came from. 3 TD's and 3 FG's. No defensive scores but three UGA scores were off of short fields from turnovers... although one of those turnovers was off of a UGA turnover after UGA had driven the length of the field the drive before so I'm not sure how to count that. One of Texas' two TD's came off a UGA turnover as well.

Given the two teams played already, asking "how UGA is going to score" is kind of silly. The answer is "the same as they scored the last time".

Depends on which Dawgs show up. They seem to play to the level of their opponent.

Y'all said this before the first game, how did that turn out??

Our defense had 7 sacks, what is going to change about that??

WR's had like 11 drops and were running wrong routes all night that led to Beck interceptions, you can hope that happens again, but I doubt it.

You had the most homecooked called of the entire year in them changing that play, that won't happen again.

We beat you by 15 in your stadium, in Atlanta dawgs will roll. 38-17

Yeah Beck has certainly been inconsistent, and does seem to be much better at home. I do think a LOT of that falls on the WR, and the insane amount of drops this year, it's almost comical at this point.

Almost impossible to beat a great team twice and Texas is a great team with a special defense.

The first team that loses has the advantage of knowing what didn't work. Adjustments will be made. I expect to see Arch running the ball quite a lot and setting up a couple big plays to Bond. There's also a revenge factor. The winning team has little motivation to do what it already did while the losing team comes in looking to make a statement that the first game was a fluke.

Also, this whole SEC tour seems pretty personal to Sark. He sounded a lot like Dabo in that last press conference.

I think Texas wins going away. Georgia is not special this year and Texas knows that now (they didn't before and played like they were intimidated).

Georgia is going to bring their A game. Kirby is in the phase with this team where he’s having trouble keeping them ready to go week to week because they have been on such a long run, just hard to keep the intensity up.

This is the SEC championship, that won’t be an issue.

I hate it but I think Texas wins and does so handedly. I have watched a LOT of UGA football in my life and have spent an inordinate amount of money pulling for the Dawgs but I think UGA is closer to what they looked like against Ole Miss than what they looked like against Texas. If Sark is smart and plays Manning more than a little Texas could beat UGA by 3 scores....UGA has no answer for a mobile QB.

I think Texas was over-hyped for the game in Austin. That was not a typical UT crowd....it is not unusual at all for CFB teams to get too jacked up by the crowd. Adrenaline and emotion are part of CFB but it can be too much to perform, especially early on in the game. The crowd at the Benz will be more electric....I am not certain Texas fans appreciate the energy in the SECCG....but Texas just played in a similar situation with less of their own fans present and beat the shite out of less than good ATM team.

UGA does not tackle well. They are about average at it.
UGA struggles to run the ball...probably below average at it, maybe by a lot.
UGA insists on playing Arian Smith who can't catch VD in a whore house.

I hope I am wrong but UGA just is not much more than simply a good football team this year. We are 12 games in. Expecting much of an improvement is not logical.

All that said it would not be surprising at all for UGA to win by a little or a lot. UGA is loaded, tends to get up for meaningful games, is playing in a normal environment for them and Kirby Smart is about as good as coaches get. If UGA is closer to what they appeared to be in August they can win by a lot. I do not think they are anywhere near as good as they were thought to be in August.

This is a really odd thing for a UGA fan to play.

UGA played about the same against Ole Miss as they did against Texas. Neither was a great performance. UGA probably played a bit better defensively against Texas, but only a bit.

The main difference was simply that Ole Miss didn't turn the ball over. UGA had 3 turnovers on offense for each game. Texas had 4 vs UGA. Ole Miss had 1.

UGA is more than capable of losing to Texas. They are not consistent this year and their lows are very low.

But considering Texas a good performance for UGA is simply something that fans of other teams might say, but a UGA fan normally wouldn't. We sucked it up in that game on offense and still won by 15. UGA's got as much room to improve against Texas as Texas has room to improve against UGA.

Defensively UGA was on fire against Texas. They haven't gotten that much effective pressure against anyone else this season. The offense sucked arse in both games BUT they did manage to put together a leaning on them drive against Texas after the temper tantrum by Texas fans that has not been duplicated often this season. If the pressure is similar Texas will struggle with UGA....I don't think it will be, Texas O line is no joke outside of the UGA game.
