Texas offense staying the same and LSU's being at least a tad off

Well the greatest single season at QB ever, at least statistically, occurred last year. So I think it's fair if there's at least some dropoff haha

It would be a shame if the air conditioning didn't work in their locker room

To put it succinctly for the LSU fans (short attention spans), neither team is going to be worth a crap next year

LSU is more talented next season and it's at home. If they get 6/10 QB play they win by a TD.

Even in a down year LSU should beat a (likely) 4 loss Big XII team.

We lose a lot but our secondary even without Delpit and Fulton will be our strength. Hoping the home advantage gives us the edge.

The most irritating thing about Texas's program right now is that I could very realistically see Texas contending in this game until the very end, possibly even winning, only to turn around and lose to Kansas State and Baylor at home later in the season. It is incredible how inconsistent his teams have been in Austin over 3 years.

This is a pretty good take.

I’m still bewildered at the fact that the same team that was one 3rd and 17 defensive stop away from getting the ball back down 6 in the 4th against the GOAT team gave up 48 points and nearly lost to Les Miles and Kansas.

Herman will be coaching for his job.
LSU will be adjusting to a new staff and a lot of new personnel.

Texas wins a close one. They will subsequently go on to lose 3-4 games and LSU will be the better team at the end of the season.

There’s NO WAY LSU loses to Texas... at home... I honestly don’t see it within 14-21 points in favor of LSU. Texas is just an awful team tbh...

Lose Delpit but get Harris back, which should help offset the loss since he was a game 1 starter last year before his injury. Hampton’s emergence should allow Stevens to thrive in that hybrid role.

My only area of concern is O-line, with all the starters we have to replace. I’m sure they’ll be good players, but will they need a year to gel and adjust to starting in the SEC?

The O-line was great this year, but at times in 2018 it was far from the unit it was this past season. They played very well at times in 2018, and other times they they were just okay. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for the best next year.

Texas can’t win this. Texas can’t beat a SEC team unless it’s Georgia or aggy.
Plus Herman is an idiot even though he’s a Mensa genius.

Texas D HS to be better than what they put on the field this year. And Herman will spend the entire offseason prepping for this game, win, and then lose to TCU, Kansas, and ISU
